Microsoft announced that it has partnered with the well-known game designer Hideo Kojima, the director of popular games like Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding for the Xbox video game console. Kojima announced the partnership in a recorded message , but did not offer any information about the game, its name or when it's expected to be released.
"It could take a bit of time," Kojima said through a translator during the announcement. A well-known developer and the head of Kojima Productions, Kojima is famous for his dedication to quality in his games. Sometimes it can take many years. Kojima suggested that Microsoft's cloud gaming technology could be an important part of the game, and he stated that it was a game that he "always wanted" to make.
Microsoft's announcement was part of its annual summer announcement event, which also included announcements of the upcoming action game Minecraft Legends and the space adventure game Starfield, both coming next year. The company also announced information about forthcoming titles such as Overwatch 2, Activision Blizzard’s online battle game, as well as Diablo 4, its next big dungeon horror game.
