thx for info about using own modem. might consider using my own in the future but the one TWC gave me when I set up seems to be doing the job so far.

im on twc/roadrunner. you don't have to do ANYTHING with the cable company to get a router to work... if you don't know how to set up a router and you DO call them, then im sure they put you through a series of steps and gather information, and im sure most of the reason is to be able to help those people with tech problems and such, maybe whoever the cable person was on here could confirm that...

there's a valid argument to most mmo's though, which is, it actually does cost a lot of money to provide the bandwidth for the servers you run on, pay devs to do maintenance, and pay devs to make new content, etc... but obviously your companies like blizzard are making a killing. 10million plus players? all paying close to $14 bucks a month? I would love to see what the profit over cost is...

who here has tried to cancel their xbox gold??????? tried forever to cancel on my xbox and I thought I was retarded cuz I couldn't figure it out. ended up on my computer reading forums just to find out that I HAD, HAD!!!!!!! to call customer service. waited on the phone for almost 30 gawd damn minutes. then the person wouldn't just let me cancel, she tried to resale me twice!!! on two different pay plans!! she offered me 3 additional months at like a dollar or something, I told her hell no cuz I wasn't gonna call customer service again and deal with this. talk about trapping your customers into an automatic billing service. I will NEVER pay for an xbox live service again. and for what? another halo game??? cod?? no thanks, theres better multiplayer on pc.
