Yeah when Dragon Age first launched i sort of ingored it because i was so busy playing MMORPG's my ps3 and 360 just collected dust.. Then eventually i broke down and purchased it for the p/c but by then the first few DLCs had launched and the whole time in the back of my head i felt like "man im missing out on something... this play though isnt gonna be nearly as good if i just purchased the DLC." When Awakening launched it put the nail in the coffin for me, i now knew i was missing out a whole nother experience and since I was unemployed at the time i didn't rush out and purchase any DLC instead i just quit playing DA:O..
There's been many other times since then that i've played the game, but each time it's been months inbetween and i sort of forget the story and whats going on so i force myself to restart, then get about 10 or so hours into the game again until I, again, feel like i'am missing out on a lot of content because of all the DLC.. I'am not at all bored when playing the game, i thouroughly enjoy it, but I always feel like i'am missing something.. So thats why i'am glad Ultimate Edition has now launched at a reasonable price ($50 at Game Spot.)
Even after putting 40hrs into the game i'am still only showing up as 26%complete in my character screen, i was wondering this includes the DLC even tho ive downloaded it.. Or if i'am really only 26%complete with the main game after 40hours of gameplay? And how much does the DLC (includeing Awakening) actually add up to in terms of game hours and all around enjoyment? Another thing i was told was that you should skip certain DLC's in the beggening because they may give away plot twists, is there a website that gives you what praticular order you should play the game + DLCs with? And my final question would be is the saves/choices you made in Dragon Age 1 gonna make any impact on how Dragon Age 2 plays out? Sorta like Bioware did with Mass Effect1&2 or KOTOR1&2..?
Thank you all.. I look forward to spending this next weekend playing through Dragon Age and its DLC too see what the experience that i've been missing!
