Alright guys, my second playthrough of Dishonored is going for Clean Hands and not being seen (I forgot the trophy name). Anyway, on the first mission, when I have the chance to save the Uncle from being poisoned, does not saving him count as killing him? If I allow him to die, will I still not get the trophy?

I ask because it's hard to take both the target and the Uncle out (so he doesn't alert the guards), not kill either of them, and not be seen.

Thanks guys.

You can do two things here:

1. you can either save him in the room by switching and or draining the poison, and then dispatching your target, in that case the uncle will turn hostile. Use sleep dart if you don't want to kill him, but he will still die because the other bad guy's (sorry cant remember the frikkin name) underlings will kill him when they find him later. If you take this route, you will have to drop the unconscious body of uncle to a designated place for him to be completely safe, in order to save him.

2. the harder but more interesting route. Wait in the room when they're talking (this is after you drain the poison). The bad guy will then want to kill the uncle the 'hard way', he will take the uncle with him to a room downstairs underground. On the way there will be at least two other enemies, following them while not being detected is the hardest part (try using time slow with blink, thats what I did. May need trial and error). When they are in the secret room on the lower floor, the bald dude will try to stab the uncle in the back, at that point you can use a sleep dart or kill the bad guy (your choice). The uncle will thank you for saving his life and you will find a rune in that room and some valuables.

I think episode 3 IS half life 3. Think about it, after all these years it makes a lot of sense that they're going to come up with something that is more up to date with the current gen. HL 2 was last gen, so it only makes sense to make EP 3/Hl 3 this gen, updated visuals, new gameplay design and elements etc. Or maybe I'm hoping for too much

I think there are a lot of factors apart from the quality of games, like fanboyism, gaming tastes of the editor , pressure from the industry or the fans. I remember how MGS fans cried like 12 year olds when GS gave MGS 3 a score of 8.7, which in my opinion is the maximum that it deserved. I wouldnt be surprised if the fans raging had something to do with subsistence getting a 9 and mgs 4 getting a 10.

it depends i think...If there's still room for exploitation of an engine, and they actually push the engines potential, why not.
