I've been using AT&T for years and I've recently become completely fed up with their bullsh*t.  We have an Elite DSL package and it blows.  Our connection gets dropped randomly all the time, which is a major pain in the ass.  I called their customer support and after an hour of nonsense I ended up unchecking one box on some URL that was supposed to fix the issue.  Since then it's actually become worse, and slower.  WTF?

So we're done with AT&T.  I need new internet.  My family watches a lot of Netflix and I game all the time, so it needs to be decent and reliable.  I don't really care if the upload/download speeds aren't crazy, I just want it to be stable and quick enough so that I don't experience any lag playing online.  We won't pay any more than $80 a month since we're already paying $60.  Also I live in the Chicago-land area. (I know certain services are regional, so that's why I bring it up)

Obviously this is a very broad question but I don't really know where to start researching something like this.  I know this might not be the best forum for this, but... routers are hardware, right?  Any help is seriously appreciated.

It doesn't get much worse than Far Cry 2. That is the worst game I've played all gen, possibly ever. As for most disappointing... MW2. I loved, loved, LOVED CoD4 (still do) and all the previous CoD games from Infinity Ward had been stellar. Modern Warfare 2 had every reason to be an incredible game, it had the talent, the legacy, the ambition, the production values... and they f*cked it up. They f*cked it up BAD. Besides the fact that the story is so stupid it's offensive, the MP is nothing short of broken. I have never played anything so buggy, imbalanced, and terribly designed that had so much money and talent behind it. The series has never recovered, and frankly I don't think it ever will.

Galaxy is a better fit for the 3DS at this point. Time for something new. Also 3D Land was sick, you be quiet.

[QUOTE="enterawesome"]I'm not a big Zelda guy, Wind Waker was pretty f*cking great, though. TP and SS were beautiful and entertaining but... eh. It's time to shake it up. I'm glad to hear that Nintendo is looking to restructure the next game, the series has basically followed the same blueprint since '98.sammyjenkis898
They said the same thing after Twilight Princess.

They sorta told the truth. Hey man, Phantom Hourglass is pretty out there... Anyways the implications from the Direct conference sound drastic. Co-op, non-linear progression, new visual style, that sounds good. I'll wait and see if they make good on that stuff, but I really hope they do.

[QUOTE="enterawesome"]Someone please explain to me why the actual f*ck Durango would have 8 cores? Couldn't they just do quad-core and squeeze more than 1.6ghz out of it, and probably for cheaper too?Chozofication

If it does have 8 cores I would guess they think preparing for the multi core / thread code boom is more important than raw speed. It makes sense.

"multi core / thread code boom" Can you explain to me what you mean by that? Sorry, I don't know jacksh*t about this kind of stuff, I'm genuinely curious. It seems wasteful to me.

What a tool. Yeah, let's just blow $10 million on something as ridiculous as this study instead of focusing on bigger issues like the state of our country's mental health care.

Microsoft licensing Skype to Sony for one of their consoles would be so f*cking funny.

DarkLink77
The Xbox brand isn't the end-all, be-all for MS, I really wonder whether or not the big wigs in Redwood actually give a sh*t what Skype is on. finalstar says it's on the vita and I don't doubt him, but there's only about five people in the world who would be able to verify that claim.
