Nintendo screwed-up the home console Pokemon when they gave it to an inexperienced dev rather than to HAL, who made the both Pokemon Stadium games on 64 as well as Pokemon Snap.

You crazy man.
Colosseum was pretty decent, and XD was fantastic. XD saw massive updates in every area of design and had some of the best graphics on the cube. Battle revolution... kinda sucks yeah. Hopefully the next is far from that one.
Btw, all the console games have sold really well.
I actually didn't play the GC games, I'm just judging by the "fan feedback".
Sure, some people liked those games, but from what I gather is that they didn't sell all that well and the brand went handheld-only after those GC titles.
Stadium and Coloseum weren't that bad. They certainly don't live up to the handheld games, that's for sure.
How can you have a massive stadium sized arena when you are battling in, say, a cave? Pokemon Stadium had organized Pokemon League battles; that's where the games got their name. The handheld games have battles going on everywhere and anywhere.does help for big pokemon though. like say, wailord. Since gen 6 has been announce, I wonder what 4(or maybe even 6) wailords would look on the map.[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="Chozofication"]
The console has always been the place for gran dios pokemon look and feel and even something as modern as X and Y can't compete with stadium even though it's so old just because of a difference in fundamental design. The handheld games have always used the minimalist look and feel. Everything, the scope, animations, attacks are given lots of attention in the console games. Maybe Stadium is a bit too dated looking, but from a design standpoint, it still stands out compared to the handheld games.
And if we compare X and Y with XD, well. I'm not knocking the handheld games, that's where it all starts, it's just at this point they're being really lazy in the detail department.

Wailord is the only pokemon of such large dimensions. And honestly, what are the chances of more than 2 wailords appearing in a battle.

Pretty hard to beat the late 90's. Impossible, even.
I hope gamefreak really stepped up the design for 6th gen, because the design has fallen off a cliff after 3rd gen. Also, the graphics on the 3ds look worse than Pokemon stadium, and i'm not exaggerating.
I hope they make another console pokemon game for Wii U with stunning graphics, that's the only way i'd get into the 6th gen.

Yes, you are exaggerating.
No i'm not. And why's the battlefield size so limited in X and Y? Why not have big stages?
Well sir, you are blind then. The size seems just fine.
