supermaddog I agree. Gamespot is not going to be a place I frequent any longer if they continue to mislead the public and drive meaningless debates for attention and web hits or whatever. This was a poor decision by Gamespot. They fail to emphasize that resolution on your new LCD is going to be anything you like with a PC and very limited with a console. They state "we scaled down the original 1920x1080 PC images to 1280x720 and cropped from there". Instead of cropping, they should have shown how much larger and nicer the PC version is diplaying. At 1920x1080 your getting 1080p resolution. They say "For the consoles, we captured all of our images over HDMI with games running at 720p resolution". Who wants 720p for the price of a console when you can have 1080p for price of a graphics card. One other note - they also use a Quad core and GTX card. Any of these games will easily run on a less expensive dual core and a less expensive graphics card if you need it too. If you are happy with consoles, there is nothing wrong with that. It's not economically sound and it is inferior but if you are having fun keep it. We are not making fun of anyone here. Simply stating that PC is better hands down and that the corporate world is trying to force the expensive console with cheap tech on us to boost their bottom line. Imagine that. Who is in line for the next bail out? I'm ready for mine.

lph_mg your stupid to pirate games you can get for less than $30 combined from ebay. Lets see $30 and peace of mind or pirate and lose your job and get fined and whatever else they do to you. Upgrade your video card $300, ram $200. What would you suggest people do - buy a $800 console with 2 year-old tech that limits your resolution. You are smarter than that or you just want to sell consoles. Maybe lph_mg is working for the consoles. Why would lph_mg try to mislead us?

ratm247 is right on. But you don't have to spend more than $900 and you have something better than a stupid console and with better resolutions. And yes in this recession you don't have room to be a moron. Further reason to skip buying a console and sticking with your current PC. You can always upgrade later.

Well, obviously the corporate world has clearly been trying to push the public to consoles for some time now. Stating that we do not want a boxed or limited product is no different than saying we don't want to be taxed. They will eventually force it on us through a measure of manipulative means, as we have seen in the latest Lucas Arts release -Forces- which was clearly designed to exclude or intice the pc gamer. For Lucas Arts to claim that the game could not be released on a superior product is an insult to our intelligence or they are counting on a lack of intelligence. If you want to compare consoles to the PC lets keep it simple and less confusing. If you want to be limited, buy a console. If you want more options and no limits, buy a PC. How insulting to anyone with a brain they would mention cost in this article. Since you already own a PC, all you need to do is buy the game, but then the corporate world will have to think of another way to fleece each of their customers for \$800. If you care about graphics, take \$500 and buy a nice graphics card for you PC. Any \$300 PC graphics card will beat a console with 2 year-old technology with ease. Then take the \$300 to \$500 you have left and spend it on yourself or on games. Of course, if you are not smart enough to push more than one button, spend all of your money on a limited console. They were designed with you in mind. Most of you will not agree with me until you wake up some day. God help you all -- Make your own decisions and just unplug yourselves from the system.
