Look.... The easiest way to finish the game & survive the pshycos is to aquire one of the stronger guns & go after the clown with the blue chain saws. He hangs out toward the middle of the mall on the second floor. Once you defeat the clown, the chain saws will re-appear where the clown was after you've used them up. Plus the chain saws you get from him are the longest lasting & the strongest in the game. If you keep your distance, & have a couple of the rescued people, armed with guns, with you when you go after him, the clown is pretty easy to defeat.

I happen to be a person who has grown up on video games. I would say I'm an extreme veteran gamer.

(30 years experience.... still haven't grown up by choice!!!)

I find it pretty easy to grab the controller of any console & fairly seemlessly adapt to any game. Here's the thing..... While I have played for most of my life, especially in the earlier years of my gaming youth, there wasn't a lot of people like me that could play well so I guess I've always been used to the less coordinated than average gamer. Gaming is a lot bigger now than it was back then so there's plenty of competition.

I can understand your frustrations because I have also been in similar situations, but I think we, as the gaming community, should whole heartedly support all gamers whether they're pro's or shmoe's; because the more people that are playing, the more support the console & game developers get, so the harder they'll work on breaking the limits of gaming developement!

Not everyone is good at everything my young friends. Have some patience with your clutsy gaming friends & do what you can to help when ever you can!

Without them, we might not be enjoying gaming as we know it today, & you probably wouldn't be as good as you all think you are! :D

I haven't played World At War yet but I have to agree with the postings above me. You should start with COD4. There are more people that have that game so the chance of getting into some good online play is statistically higher. I would also assume that the weapons are better because the developers of this series pride themselves in creating a "frame of time" type of realism & COD4 is modern & the COD WaW would have older weapons because its time frame is based during WWII. (Personally, I like the newer guns!)

As far as the headset goes, I suggest getting one no matter which game you choose. It adds a certain flare to any online play!

You all may think I'm crazy but the first time I thought "Whoa!" was when I played Jet Moto 2....... & in a close second was Virtual fighter.

At the time, they'd come a long way from C-Vision, Atari, & Odessy, which are the consoles I started with close to 30 years ago.

I know that precautions and care taking for PS2 & it's game were explained pretty well in the 1stPost of this topic which happens to be really good advice & I have actually done the same things plus one more. I put a light cloth (like a bandana) over the top of my PS2 (big enough to cover the whole thing but light enough to allow air to flow through) to keep the dust off & out of the console. It really does work well, just like an air filter. I've had my PS2 for over 5 & 1/2 years and haven't had a problem yet!
