@WarGreymon77: Sure. Everything is technically better, but there's also a different tone to a lot of these images. The remaster seems brighter, less saturated, and less moody overall. And that all comes down to aesthetic.
There's a reason people will argue that Breath of the Wild looks better than Immortals Fenyx Rising, for example. It has nothing to do with texture quality, or lighting, or performance. It's just an aethetic that people subjectively prefer.
@P00DGE: I'd argue that the shooting, at least on controller, is some of the worst feeling FPS controls I've played in almost 15 years. And the melee combat is atrocious.
@Radar: Agreed. All these things, including chromatic aberration, are just effects meant to replicate films. The problem is these are literally failures of the filming process that they've been trying to get rid of in movies for years. Why are they making games look bad on purpose?
I don't see how giving moviegoers the option to stay at home is "a desperate attempt to grab the audience’s attention." They are literally just trying to stay in business and making sure we don't have to risk our lives to watch a dumb movie. These directors complaining are sounding super elitist like "you stupid plebs will never understand my masterpiece unless you watch it on a big screen." I can't imagine they will get a lot of support on this.
Anyone that still uses the store on PS3 knows what a nightmare it is. I try to avoid it at all costs and only make purchases through the website. So this is bad news for me. How costly can it really be for them to leave these listings up?
Online retailers need to implement captchas, and limit one per person.
There were reports that Walmart were allowing people to order unlimited Xbox Series X consoles per person.
That's what I don't get. These retailers have to know that scalpers use scripts to purchase highly sought after items. How do they not have human verification systems in place by now? I suspect they don't actually care who buys them and just want them all sold as fast as possible.
@dogzipp: Exactly. They think COVID will magically disappear by Nov 12th. And now they just made it more dangerous because more people will be going to stores expecting to get one.
