Hi all, I've got a 360 on the way and I plan to play it using my new 22" widescreen LCD monitor. I also have some 5.1 speakers for my computer setup, and I'd like to double them so they will work for the 360. Doing some research I see that the only way the system outputs surround sound in with a toslink cable, so I'm guessing that I need some kind of basic stereo reciever that can take a toslink input and has some kind of 5.1 output that I can convert over to the three headphone plugs that are standard on PCs. Anyone give me some advice on how to do all that? I've not had any luck finding a reciever that does what I want, or would I be better to just get a whole new 5.1 setup and have them both hooked up? I'm trying to avoid all the wires and speakers that would go with having two 5.1 setups in the same location. Hope someone can help.
hmmmm, cant add games to my list anymore, so this update just kills the whole site for me. Guess I'll be making my game list on my website instead of just linking to my profile here.
Thanks for the continued replies on this, and I suppose I need to rework the intro since having a weak point at the start is always a recipe for disaster. Perhaps having the presidents speech as a standalone intro scene , and then pick up the story from nathans perspective. I want to work on this more, but being an obsessive compulsive, I have a real hard time splitting my concentration on multiple projects. I've started running a new D&D game and that seems to be all I can really work on right now. To keep wy writing going I've decided to novelize the game sessions we have there, so look for me to post some of that in the near future.
For those intrested in where this story is going, well, I started to write out a synopsis, but decided against it, you will have to wait to get more out of this one. :)
