@battlefront1943 Wrong, GS have clear guideline on each number and 8 is specifically marked "great". If you cant distinguish between "good", "great", "superb" and "masterpiece" then I cant help ya.

@rawkstar007 Well you can always ignore score and just read the review. But I actually trust the score most and often skip whole reading. Why? Because when reviewer finish the game it leave certain memories in his/her mind and score thus reflect overall enjoyment with all details included and also judgement as to compare with experience from other games, which is so much harder if not impossible to put precisely in all detail into text. Try to write few reviews yourself and return to them in later period and you will often find the need of that edit button.

Also, have it really never happened to you that you played game. that was generally good and fun and without any specific problem, yet it also wasnt necessary in your hall of fame list? What score would you give it, 10? Please...

@Penguinlord1 You can have a great game without flaws, but that doesnt mean it must be ranked all time classic. Maybe overall scope or fun still wasnt at its absolute highest as compare to other games for example, despite being already great game and fun to play. Note 8 mean "great" already.

This was actually to be expected, game was already criticized during development for its retarded gameplay direction and here it shows. Of course we wouldnt get our ol`good thief gameplay are u guys crazy? Thats simply NOT possible, it would have to be made by some indie guys who understand spirit of gaming and what made old games great - not these "high budget" idiots whoes boss and publisher in suits think they know better because their disabled kids at home told them so.

I have played it finally. Game was neither worse nor better than previous ones, its about same quality and continuation. Taking into account that previous games were rated on average at around 8(individually), it does feel rather inconsistent as it give feeling that this episode is somehow inferior to past ones(from last season). Which is not true as its about same quality so GS should probably try to keep things more consistent in future.

That said, these games are way too short even as a whole not to mention individual episodes. Around double length for each episode(as currently is) would be about perfect IMO because this length is really pathetic. They dont offer much in terms of gameplay so at least they should give reasonable story length. So from that point I would actually agree with 6(for individual episodes) even though its a great series no doubt.

I love Telltale games and always enjoy them, but gaming length itself and often cutting story in its best parts before they even start is enough to give a lower score. Just because its "episode" style doesnt mean it have to be 1-2h gameplay. I felt first episode of first series was "ok" in length including reasonable conclusion, but every next one I was finishing sooner and sooner. Although maybe its because I got familiar with it, devs should have take that into account.

Anyway I believe this ridiculously short episodes only hurt otherwise great story itself, games like half life ep1 and ep2 were of much more reasonable length and were also "episodes". 9/10 I would give game that have great gameplay, complete story and last something, these games even as a full pack are still too short and simple, no matter how good they are.

There is not even need for any pad emulator, just simple cheap usb x360 controller that is immediately recognized both in OS and in all games automatically. Thats how I play at least ^_`
