@jski: I agree wholeheartedly, but I have to ask myself; who is the the bigger fool - EA, or the respectable developers that sell out to them knowing what will inevitably happen to their beloved IPs.
@cranston53: Abysmal controls? You can remap them (at least on PC). The combat isn't weak; it is often slow and methodical, it always has been - Geralt doesn't ping about like Dante or Batman.
The horse-riding wasn't great to start with but has vastly improved with patches. Perhaps if you gave it another chance you might get to like it, but each to their own.
It's great they're keeping on top of bugs and fixes, but after downloading a 10GB update for the main game, followed by the 3GB expansion, and now another 3.3GB update just after release, I hope it's worth the wait.
*sigh*. Another 'let's upscale the textures and slap a remastered badge on it so we can make a quick buck' effort.
How about fixing the big gap in the character development towards the end of the game? Or adding some actual next-gen fx? Or updated models and animations?
Quantic Dream, have a look at Oddworld New 'n' Tasty to see how it's done, and try again.
Is it me or do the planets seem to lack vertical space compared to the last demo? After entering orbit it's like BAM - there's the ground. I guess they can only display a small amount of detail when flying in space. Either that or the planets themselves are tiny compared to the last one they showed.
Anyways, I'm not sure how long this would keep my interest without having some sort of single player campaign or objectives.
@Arsyad00 If you've seen any of the Now Playing gameplay, there are eagles that fly down and attack you. Tigers and bears I can understand but man eating eagles just seems stupid to me.
@hystavito GS seem to have removed the video. Basically if you wait in the starting area for 13 minutes, an NPC leads you to a helicopter and takes you to an area, gives you some very spoiler-ish info, and the credits roll. It's kind of a hidden ending I suppose.
