Thanks for the replies, I see where the game is going with the emphasis on base building and that stuff is just not for me. This isn't a game I want to spend 100+ hours playing.

That said, I just played the part where you get the "bumblebee" missile launcher or whatever and it definitely picked the pace up. I think I'll try to play though what I can without going crazy over the base building. I just wish it were more linear. It bugs me how almost every game is open world nowadays.

So I'm finally playing MGSV since it was free on PS Plus. Call me crazy, but the only MGS game I completed before this one (not counting Ground Zeroes) is 4 and I loved it. Sure, I didn't really understand the context of what was going on, but I had a blast with it back in like 2009 when there was nothing to play on the PS3. I've played bits of 2 and 3 and intend to someday play through the series but for now, I'm playing 5.

The game starts off with the most cinematic sequence I've maybe ever played through with hospital scene, then I'm dumped in the middle of Afghanistan and told to do a bunch of busy work missions. The game has great gameplay and I love picking up those 80's cassettes but the stealth infiltration has gotten old already and I'm only like 15 hours in. I do all the missions they give me plus the side ops stuff but it's all feeling so repetitive.

So my question is, does the game ever reach the heights of the opening again in terms of storytelling and presentation or is it more of the same? And yes, I'm well aware that it's an unfinished game because of the Konami/Kojima feud.

Get Persona 4 Golden. You will not regret it. Even if you don't usually play JRPGs or like anime, it's worth giving it a shot. I was late to Vita island (bought mine in 2015) and P4G was my most recommended game. Bought it not knowing WHAT to think and I absolutely loved it.

The Vita has an interesting and surprisingly deep library. There are JRPGs aplenty but also check out some of the early AAA action games like Uncharted Golden Abyss and Killzone Mercenary. But where the Vita shines is indie games. I loved Guacamelee, Super Meat Boy, OlliOlli 2, Rogue Legacy, and Limbo to name a few. Also, many of the PS1 classics and most of the PSP library is available to play on Vita.

Also also, make sure you either buy a memory stick for it or buy one with one bundled in. It has to be Vita memory stick too and they can be expensive.

@Bond007uk: Thank you so much. Definitely clears things up for me. I think I'll play wait and see because I really want to play the KOTOR games. And in the mean time, the price of a One S can only go down.

Bioshock: The Collection. Has anyone else had any major glitches? I've had two that are currently crawling under my skin and leaving a baseball-sized lump of misery in my throat. One has to do with a trophy, the trophy where you have to hack a turret. I've hacked probably over 20 turrets and the trophy has never never popped for me. I've shocked/froze it, walked up to it, pressed square to hack, and it turns friendly every time. But unlike everything else in the game, it automatically hacks without any pipe mini game. I tried switching in and out different tonics that might have made me auto-hack it, but that's not it.

The second one almost has me depressed. SPOILERS for anyone who hasn't played the 10 year old game, but I am unable to find Sander Cohen in his apartment. I didn't kill him or even attack him because I remembered from playing the original almost a decade ago that the only way to get into his apartment room was to keep him alive after you complete his "masterpiece." But I go to his apartment in the plaza later in the game and see the splicer couple dancing by the piano, but I do not hear any dialogue from him. I kill them both hoping that he would come down from his room anyway but nope, nothing happens. This pisses me off because I've been playing this game for over 20 hours, taking my time and making sure that I collect every audio diary, fully research every enemy type, upgrade every weapon, etc. I was on target to get every trophy in the game besides the three trophies that deal with the high difficulty settings. I backtracked, checked out every inch of the main room in Fort Frolic including his dressing room and I don't find him. I even reloaded my save file and checked back in his apartment like 5 times and he is still missing. The only thing I can think of is maybe he walked into a turret or Big Daddy when I left him, but I know that he would have likely survived because I remember him being a challenging ass boss battle so he would have survived. Besides, I didn't find his corpse even if that was the case. This leaves me to believe that I've encountered a glitch. So, I can no longer get four trophies: entering his apartment room, taking a picture of his corpse, upgrading every weapon (I remember there being an upgrade station in his room), and collecting every audio diary (I assume there's one in there). I didn't save multiple files but even if I did, there's no way I would do all of that sh*t with the reactor level again. So yeah, I'm f***ed out of four trophies and more devastating to me, cannot relive one of my favorite moments from the original game and really one of my favorite gaming moments ever.

It's just frustrating and it ruins the entire experience for me, which is a shame because the remaster was done so damn well in every other regard. I remember trying to replay the PS3 version after I beat Infinite back in 2013 and I remember it being almost unplayable because of how outdated it was even then. But this remaster plays and looks like it was released yesterday. Anyway, I'm mostly posting to vent because I'm devastated but if anyone else has had any issues with any of the three games in the collection, please share.

So, I've never owned or really ever even considered owning an Xbox of any sort. I've been playing on PlayStation since the PS1. I am now considering buying an Xbox One as a second console, mostly because of my interest in its backwards compatibility but also some of the exclusives. I have a series of questions about it and some specific games. If anyone could answer any of them honestly, it would be greatly appreciated.

1. Do you need a paid Xbox Live service to use BC?

2. Do you need a paid XBL for achievements and game updates?

3. How well does BC work? Like how do the games play and look in comparison to the original game? When you play a BC game, do you get the patch updates too or is it just the original version they shipped?

4. I wouldn't even be considering buying an Xbox One if it wasn't for Fallout 3 and New Vegas. They are among my all-time favorite games and I miss them dearly. I played both of them multiple times on PS3 back when they came out but because Bethesda games played like garbage on PS3, I never even got the chance to do everything in them. With both games, as soon as I hit 100 hours, the game's framerate was unbearable. And don't even get me started on Skyrim. FWIW, I played Fallout 4 and Skyrim Special Edition on PS4 for a combined total of over 300 hours, and I hardly had any issues whatsoever. So what I want to know is, how well do the Xbox 360 versions of FO3 and NV play on Xbox One? Do they too get significantly worse as the save file size gets bigger?

5. Can you buy 360 games on the Xbox One digitally for BC use? Or would I have to track down old copies?

6. Finally, I know at E3 this year, Microsoft announced that they are bringing games from the original Xbox to Xbox One BC. Has there been any update on this? If I could finally play the KOTOR games, I would absolutely buy an Xbox One.

@nirogol: I've litterally waited a year to play it?? didn't expect the performance to be so low

The game (on PS4) worked like a dream for me compared to other BGS games. Framerate dropped like four times total over 200 hours. Never really had a noticeable problem with loading either.

So, after doing almost everything possible in Fallout 4 that is allowed with one playthrough (not interested in playing the game again sided with different factions) and bitching about how it's my least favorite Fallout and that Bethesda ruined the RPG elements of the series, I find myself missing the game greatly. I put about 200 hours in and bought and played through all of the DLC so after I finished up in Nuka World (killed every raider in the park) and placed a few finishing touches on my Sanctuary settlement, I decided that show was over and deleted the game file off of my PS4. I did so because I have the 500 GB model and needed some space at the time.

I have a large amount of space open on my PS4 now and am getting the itch to boot it up again even if just for old times sake. If I were to re-install it, would I have to re-download and re-install all the DLC packs as well? Or would they just be intact? If not, what would happen to my game if they (the DLC) weren't installed?
