@SloganYams: Thanks for stopping by and reading. Yeah, a top 100 list is an absolute monster. I originally had a top 50 in mind, but that left off so many of my favorites considering that franchise movies like Harry Potter and Star Wars make up a good portion of my list.

Marnie is growing on me the more I think about it and I totally agree with you about Austin Powers. The sequels had their moments, like the Hollywood spoof in Goldmember, but weren't as clever as the first.

Yeah, I have your site bookmarked actually. I really enjoyed reading through your Game of the Years. I've been meaning to comment but I'm not actually sure how to do so. Or at least on mobile. I'll have to try again. Looking forward to your favorite games list.

Mine is Ocarina of Time. The first LoZ I've played and it hasn't been topped since. That said, I haven't played many. I never actually played Wind Waker, seeing as I never owned a GameCube or Wii U. But from what I have played, I think it could become my favorite LoZ. Maybe.

I would love for a different developer apart from Bandai Namco to get their hands on Dragon Ball. Platinum Games would probably gel well with DBZ.

I'm really intrigued by this game. I cannot believe there hasn't been a decent TMNT in a very long time. That franchise is perfectly built for a video game. I actually loved the PS2 game that was based on the 2003 TMNT cartoon and I see a lot of similarities between it and this new one. The art style looks really cool, it looks like a cartoon and that's where TMNT belongs.

I'm cautiously optimistic about Platinum being at the helm. They've made some great games, but they've also made some bad ones. The Korra game that they made was disappointing. But given their history, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. I want to know what type of game this will be. I hope its a full $60 game actually. Open world, 3D, all of that. I don't know if we need another beat-em up level based game.

I'm interested. The series is due for a shake-up. I loved every second I spent with Far Cry 3 (well, except for the multiplayer) but when I finally got around to playing Far Cry 4 recently, I grew bored with it very quickly because of how similar it was to its predecessor.

Imagining Far Cry without modern guns and vehicles is pretty weird but weird is good. And actually, the bow is my preferred weapon in Far Cry 4. I love to play these games as stealthily and methodical as possible.

The first three Harry Potter games were awesome! I have so many old memories of playing Chamber of Secrets, which was my favorite HP game until the two LEGO Harry Potter games. If you haven't checked them out, I would strongly encourage it even if LEGO games aren't your cup of tea.

I am all for having weird, forgotten PS2 games on the PS4. They don't need to be classics. Games like God of War, Ratchet & Clank, and SotC had their re-releases very recently.

I'd like to see Jak X: Combat Racing, Ape Escape 2, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Scooby-Doo: Night of 100 Frights, Tony Hawk's Underground 1 & 2, and X-Men Legends 1 & 2.

@SoNin360: I'll definitely look into Persona 3 Portable. I wonder if it's one of those PSP games available to download on the Vita... I have no idea where my old PSP is, it's been ages.

I definitely understand where you are coming from about the state of the community here and watching GS friends vanish. I still keep in touch with a lot of my old friends, but their lack of presence on this site diminishes reason to log in, let alone blog. I don't know if I'll have a definitive farewell, but my time here has been closing for a couple of years now.

I've had a lot of fun reading your blogs on Gamespot, they are some of the best I've read here. You have great taste in games and movies and you are truly gifted at writing. I'm glad our paths crossed on this site and I wish you all the best.

I do have your site bookmarked and I do check it out every so often. I'll be sure to start leaving a few comments here and there.

Can honestly say I've never heard of it. I'll have to look it up, but it sounds pretty neat.

For me, my favorite game I played for the first time in 2015 didn't even release in 2015. It's Persona 4 Golden. I had literally no idea of what to expect when I got it and was extremely unfamiliar with the Persona series. But wow, I'm about 24 hours in and I absolutely love it. I have a feeling that by the time I'm done with it, it could be one of my favorite games of all-time. At least top 5.

As for games that came out this year, I was really disappointed by both Batman: Arkham Knight and Fallout 4. Games that I had been waiting for for a very long time, both ripped my heart out. I did thoroughly enjoy the time I've had so far with The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red made an outstanding game.
