Congrats Duxup.

I do wish you would stick around though even if it is just to contribute to some of the discussions on this or the mMod board. You are a voice of reason that we need to keep around, even if it doesn't include standard moderator activity or is very sporadic.

m0zart

I'd like to do that but yeah I don't think that would comply with the moderator activity requirements.

Also G013M don't worry, my avatar is awesome and always on topic.

Not sure about you guys, but I watched Mike talking in HD! :Pcell_dweller
Well I did splurge on an HD camera ;)
He's so cute, it will get easier, mine are nearly 3 now. Best wishes to you, you've been a great help and hope to see you back soon.btaylor2404
Thankfully it is getting a bit easier now that he is nearly 4 months old. He once in a while sleeps for more than 2 hours (last night a record 5 hours out of nowhere)! He doesn't so much insist on being walked around the house every waking moment and lets us lay him on the floor an plays for a bit so we can do things that require two arms. *crosses fingers*

Thanks for the well wishes all!

That first picture is the best thing ever. We should all spend our days like that.DrFish62

When posting it here I thought that first IMG was an appropriate image if posted above looking down on the Ask the Mods forum. Sort of an exasperated "are you kidding me?" look he has there.

As folks may or may not have noticed I haven't been around much lately. Life with the new baby (no sleeps for you!), lots of work for me at work, Mrs. duxup's graduate school, and a flury immediate family illnesses and all my time is gone. I didn't even mention cleaning the house one day I'd like to do that... Yes it is now to the point that I'd LIKE to have time to clean my house. Anyway not to worry the illnesses none don't seem to be anything permanent *crosses fingers*

Thus my time is more limited than ever and GS just hasn't been a priority despite the fact that I miss participating. I don't see this changing much soon (but who knows). The entirely random spots of a few minutes free time I have mostly involve me having no clue what to do when I actually have free time, and mostly too tired to do anything if I think of it (crazy huh?). I like to think I'll have some more time one day and I wouldn't rule out showing up out of the blue around here sometime. I'll miss you guys.

I hit preview a few times and thought some things were missing here but I couldn't say what. Ah yes, it just doesn't seem right for a moderator to abruptly sign off in a "final" thread in the moderators forum without some sort of big to do, and sometimes a creepy undertone of entitlement. Accordingly:

So thumbs down to you Gamespot staff who never invited me to your birthday party!!!! *harumph*

Oh and here are a few photos of what is taking up most of my time (Who knew I'd leave you guys for a boy!?!?!):

[QUOTE="Dracula68"][QUOTE="duxup"] Yeah holding the little dude up at night while he struggles to breathe at times is hard on the parents. Let alone the moaning and groaning while asleep in your arms :(

Struggling to breath due to something with the lungs (bronchitis?) or nose clogged? I feel bad when they are at the age that they can't blow their nose. That stupid suction thing doesn't work well unless they have better one's now?

Exactly. Right now it is just a really bad cold they think. Not lung related (thank goodness). As you said they (the baby) just don't know what to do except that they're woken up from a dead sleep not able to breathe. Yeah the suction things don't work well. Some light salt water in the nose cleans them out but.... it doesn't last long and obviously the little dude HATES that.

[QUOTE="duxup"][QUOTE="duxup"]Next week, and possibly the week after I'll be on fairly intermittently as I'm home with another streak of staying home with the new baby. Of course now that I say that I'll suddenly find lots of time.solidruss

Apparently not. Anyway my little 3 month old baby has been sick, still have job, Mrs. has school. Just too much to do. I won't be around much for a bit :(

I have 2 godsons 3 and 5... I feel your pain... well kinda, since I'm not the dad I can walk away whenever I want:P

[QUOTE="duxup"][QUOTE="CleanPlayer"]Get rid of the DH, make the pitcher hit. That's what I'd change. CleanPlayer
I would agree with that. The DH is pure garbage.

I agree, DH is a disgrace! There is no need for it, it limits some players to only being a single tool which is hitting...and that depresses me

Yar. If you got say a Bonds on your team (well hopefully not an embarrassment himself kind of Bonds....) you should suffer him in the field as well if you want to play him. That always makes a game more interesting.

Funny how nobody cared until the Vikings lost.

RossRichard
it has been discussed here.. . and on the internet, and by the NFL for ages.
