[QUOTE="seankane"]

[QUOTE="GrandJury"]Nice list my friend. I guess I should ask the first question. For those of you who play Gears 2 have the updates fixed the game and can it be enjoyed now?GrandJury

The obvious problem with this question is that you dont list what you found 'broken' with the 1st one, and you assume that the 1st one cant be enjoyed.

I think you might want to rephrase your question more carefully and specifically if you want any kind of constructive answer.

Excuse me?I did not think the question was too hard. Most people know that Gears 2 had massive online problems, I was asking can it be somewhat enjoyed now.

I think the other person may have misinterpreted your question. It seemed that he/she thought you were comparing Gears of War 2 to Gears of War 1, as opposed to merely pointing out that you were asking the "first question" with this forum thread.

[QUOTE="RobboElRobbo"][QUOTE="resevl4rlz"]

guys i have a free 20 dollar credit off from amazon and what should i get dead rising for free, mass effect for free. but then i do havegame flyso what should i decide on whats a rent and a keep

resevl4rlz

Mass Effect. Dead Rising story missions are terrible, although it's fun to get a few achievements and just goof around.

your saying go for mass effect

Right. The other poster's suggestion here is for Mass Effect. Your signature is hilarious, by the way. I'm planning on buying Mass Effect in the near future, too ...

[QUOTE="xmen1414"][QUOTE="dracosummoner"][QUOTE="xmen1414"]Hey, i dont even know if anyone still posts here or not! But! Im going to get Call Of Duty 4 and Red Faction: G, i don't know what game to get free though! I like shooters and stuff, and it can't be more then $32! So thanks for any suggestions!

Bioshock, a shooter with a few role-playing elements (in terms of personal character development and NPC interaction), is about $20 now. I love what I've played of it, and, God willing that I can get other things in life straightened out, I plan to buy it and Mass Effect next month ...

I would get Bioshock if i could man, but my parents wont allow it. I played it on my bros laptop and it is a pretty awesome game.

If you don't mind my asking ... I apologize, but I'm just confused. Your parents will allow you to play Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare and Red Faction: Guerrilla but not Bioshock? By what criteria are they judging the game(s)? Edit: Granted, Bioshock does have language that's more offensive and crude than the wartime language used in a game like Call of Duty, and Bioshock also has many sexual references, drug references and so on ...

I only have enough money to getone game right now.i narrowed my choices downto Borderlands or Dragon Age. they both look really good but im undecided as to which one i should get. i already have l4d2 and halo 3 odst, and i don't care much for COD or AC. so which game should i dive into next

Spectrobal
I haven't played Borderlands or Dragon Age, but may I attempt to make another suggestion? You seem to really enjoy shooters -- well, to some extent, if you like Left 4 Dead and Halo but not Call of Duty. If you don't mind my asking, are you looking for another shooter (I'm not saying there's anything wrong with taking a liking for one specific genre), or are you looking for a genre change-of-pace (in which case Dragon Age will stick out the most when compared to Left 4 Dead and Halo) ?

[QUOTE="bczigothigh"]

I'm about to pick up a 360 but theres a few things I'm wondering. First I assume the elite holiday bundle with lego batman and pureare the new chipset right?? And secondly can anyone maybe recommend about 5 single player exclusives, I may or may not end up getting live gold I'm not sure yet. You can include games also on pc , I have an decent pc I just don't usually like to play games on it. Much appreciated

bczigothigh

1- Mass Effect (and the sequel in January)

2- GTA: Episodes From LC

3- Fable 2

4- Crackdown

5- Gears 1 & 2 both have solid SP campaigns

That Elite bundle should indeed use the new chipset.

Thanks for the suggestions, a few of those I hadn't even looked at to much.

I would recommend Halo 3 as well -- unless you haven't played or don't understand the first two games, in which case the plot (which is still pretty good) probably won't be very accessible.

You wouldn't go see a film with a bad poster, would you?

Actually, truth be told, I probably would if the movie otherwise interested me.

[QUOTE="ASK_Story"]That does look horrible. That woman in the back looks out of proportion...meaning, the head looks to big...maybe it's her hair, but still looks weird. Also, the foreshortening on the arm with the gun looks odd. It looks bad. The characters look stiff and robotic. Not good at all.

I think she just has a very tall neck. As for the box art itself, I still vastly prefer the Collector's Edition work (that's just beautiful!), but I ... think I prefer this to the original ME2 box art.

I'm planning on buying Mass Effect and Bioshock. I am indeed aware they've been out for two years. (On another note, I would definitely recommend both Mass Effect novels.)

Who out there owns an Xbox 360 and would like to help me with some feedback. What do you like and dislike about it? Why did you purchase it in comparison to PS3? Thanks!eyegiant
At the time I purchased my system (January 2008), the Xbox 360 was substantially cheaper than the Playstation 3. Many games I wanted to play, including Bioshock, had not yet been ported to the system (at the time, a port hadn't even been announced). I'm a huge fan of the Halo games. I wanted to continue exploring the story on the Xbox 360. If you buy an Xbox 360, I highly recommend buying a console that comes with a hard drive. The 20 GB hard drive that came with my console was plenty, as far as saving games was concerned, but I believe that the pack-in hard drives with newer consoles hold a lot more information. Your other option, if you buy an Xbox 360 Arcade system (so named because it comes with five free Xbox Live Arcade games), is to use the 512 MB memory unit that comes with the system. That thing won't hold a *whole* lot of saved games, and as far as games with downloadable or disc-based expansions (such as The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and Fallout 3) are concerned, the expansions for those games absolutely require a hard drive in order to be usable (Oblivion's expansions take up 1 GB of space). You've probably heard a lot about hardware failures. I haven't had a *whole* lot of problems with these (Microsoft's customer service is wonderful, though, at least in my experience -- they repaired my system for free after it had a problem known as an E74 error, and shipping was quite cheap), but they're out there.
