@telecaster24: Considering review scores favor Zelda, including Gamespot's own, the sales of games on consoles with a 40+ million difference in userbase hardly matters when they're both selling as well as they are. The difference here is HZD will peak much sooner because Sony's userbase won't get much bigger, but Zelda's will peak probably in the holiday season with Mario's release as more people buy Switches. Maybe even later when there are about 20 million Switch users.

@iskaroth: Citing user scores is like citing IMDB. 0s and 10s are the most common user votes in general, so for a game that has a 98 metascore, a 10 is probably significantly more legitimate and indicative of the game's real score than a 0 is, which are being put there by irrational, emotional voters who had a quip with the game, or asinine, childish gamers who want to see other games have higher scores. The problem with a franchise as big and longstanding as Zelda is there will be a lot more people who want to see it fail, for whatever stupid reason. Could be so a rival game, which HZD is inexplicably made out to be, has a higher score, or so that a previous game maintains a higher score (Ocarina of Time). Considering there are roughly 60 million PS4 users in a faux-console war kept alive by asinine "fanboys," and millions of OOT fans who refuse to believe a game could surpass it, BOTW's user score never had a chance. If you haven't noticed, the gaming community is a joke and an embarrassment. I hardly take the gaming public's thoughts or opinions seriously, especially when graphics, framerates, and cinematic (which ARE important) are being cited as why a game is so amazing. They are but a mere factor that makes a game playable, among more important factors.

And for the record, I've played for like 30 minutes since my copy just came in yesterday and I got home late. OOT is my favorite game, and I would like to believe this surpasses it, but we'll see if it's any good.

Holy **** you guys are ****ing morons. Nudity is a minuscule reason the reviewer cited for making this game bad. At the very least, look at list at the end to see just how much was wrong with the game.

The Bad
Technical issues sour every moment
Meaningless skill progression
Sloppy combat
Offensive dialogue
Blatantly objectifies women
Poor voice acting
Ambiguous rules
That very CLEARLY lists technical and gameplay reasons for being bad.

A new (and good) Metroid, Star Fox, 3D Mario (Sunshine related, preferably), Kirby, F-Zero, Mario Party, and a seriously kickass Pokemon console game would probably help you break records. Good start with upcoming Zelda, Donkey Kong, Mario Kart, Mario 3D World, and SSB games though. Oh, and Sonic Lost World. First time I've been excited for Sonic since the GameCube.

@StormChaser236 @douchiedude Sure thing! Ayers is my name on the 3DS. Unfortunately, it's not like a friend request thing and I'll need your info too =/

@JumpyLuweegee That's because they release new games for the same franchises. Of course, they do re-release the same games, but that's on top of new games.

@xeoneex66 @douchiedude @BradBurns That response was purely for your distaste of Zelda, but if you never liked the story to begin with, then I guess that's a legitimate reason. The gameplay, however, is top notch and has been revolutionary in the gaming industry (A Link to the Past on SNES, Ocarina of Time on N64, Wind Waker on Gamecube, and Skyward Sword on the Wii). Honestly, give them a shot. I do realize Twilight Princess had an OoT feeling to it (albeit much darker) but it was a completely different game and a different Link with new dungeons, etc. Also, Majora's Mask is like no other Zelda game. Skyward Sword took motion control to a new level, granted it happened right before the Wii U so no game really got to copy what it did. OoT took 3D gaming to a whoooole new level. You really are missing out on their handheld games as there are some truly amazing ones like the Minish Cap and, as you mentioned, Link's Awakening, as well as their Oracle games. Skyward Sword was also completely different than TP and OoT, and WW is absolutely nothing like any, just like MM. Honestly, I just think TP left a bad taste in your mouth, and most Zelda fans are divided over that game anyway.

I can't stand FPS games on console. The last FPS game I loved and played is Day of Defeat, so you can see I don't care much for those you named as well as Halo (and Counter-Strike, at that).

I truly believe the Wii-U will succeed, partly because it'll finally be Nintendo in HD, which contemporary gamers care so deeply about for some reason, and partly because when the next games of these great franchises only come out for the Wii-U, Nintendo fans will have to buy it, which is, of course, a business move on their end that's allowed because of their iconic franchises. One thing the Zelda franchise deserves props for is their ability to fully utilize the Nintendo consoles. Like with SS and its motion control for Wii, WW with its vast overworld allowed by the GameCube, and OoT being self-explanatory. The new 3DS one is using its 3D abilities in terms of height, and that is truly interesting to me, and I'm willing to bet the Wii-U will be something special as well, although I don't own a Wii-U yet so I have no idea what it offers.

@xeoneex66 @BradBurns It must suck not to appreciate good gameplay. The Wii-U is an immediate failure, but just like the 3DS, when the game lineup gets good, the sales will skyrocket. The 3DS sucked ass for a while and now the lineup is unbelievable for this year. Speaking of the 3DS, they do still dominate the handheld gaming market, so there's that.
