Gandalf_Sam, So what do the numbers tell you the bottleneck is?

After reading the user opinions, I am amused. Give Intel credit - the new core is exceptional (and I own AMD systems)! However, what everyone and most reviews seem to be missing is that the TYPICAL "gamer" plays at x by y resoltuion (i.e. 1280x960)with AF and AA on (4x/8x). When you look at performance in normal gaming the difference in REAL WORLD performace is negligible +-7 FPS no matter which CPU you chose, so who cares! Sure, if you are buying a new system - then Intel is the smart money way to go for now. But most people are waiting to see what Vista will require and what the DirectX10 video cards are capable of before going down the new system path.
