[QUOTE="darthogre"]Here is what I believe is going on.....the longer they wait to release it the more they feel they can add to it. Say for instance 3D mode as an example. That's not even counting all upgrades to the engine based on how far other 1st party devs have pushed the PS3 over the last couple years. I'm sure everytime they learn a new trick to get more out of the PS3 they have to update the engine. That's why I think it's taking forever.......they want it to be the best when it releases. But they seem to forget at some point it comes down to the fact it's been in development for almost 6 years (?) now........time to stop tweaking.DarkGamer007

Isn't that basically what happened with Duke Nukem: Forever?

There could be some differences : if PD is a bigger developer than the ones of Duke nukemthen think on the following lines - Delays mean financial problems for relatively smaller developers.

[QUOTE="dk_2007"][QUOTE="InsaneBasura"]1000 cars, 180 days per car. Do the math.alextherussian
I did the math and it says 1000*180 = 180000 days = 493 years :P

If you divide that by 100 (approx number of employees) we hit 5 years...

On a serious note - we cant do math with that 180 days per car figure because we dont know rest of the details. Anyway, GT5 is taking long time. Every gamer hates delays(not the correct word because release date wasnt even announced), but in the end if the game is good then delays are mostly forgiven.

[QUOTE="mythrol"]

[QUOTE="SolidTy"]

The love to declare, boy, that teach everyone not to mess with them, pilgrims.

--------

Same month as 1 Million Console bannings in a week(!), pretty smart. Those Gamertags were intact, as long as they buy a new console.

Obviously there are other variables ($200 core, Games, Deals, $100 Walmart 360, etc.), but you guys know this was a benefit, in my neck of the woods, I know 20 MW2 360's sold due to this.SolidTy

Yes, obviously all the broken 360's and banned 360's have caused people to buy a second console. That's why the 360 has the highest games to consoles attach rate. AMIRITE?!?!?!

This cow myth really needs to die. Because facts simply don't support the claim.

You're not up on the news, you honestly should read up. You have my information confused with old stuff I'm not talking about at all.

I'm talking about the recent one million bannings performed about a month ago...

It was smart and effective. I supposeI come to SW too much, but there were about 10 threads on the subject over the course of a month-ish (?), I'm surprised you missed that news.

So, no you are not right, because you are confused by what I'm talking about.

Obviously, the Core $200 model, great gaming deals on Black Friday (6 free games), the library, and the $100 Walmart Xbox helped, but you aren't up on the information.

Here :

http://www.informationweek.com/news/hardware/peripherals/showArticle.jhtml?articleID=221601267

You need to read my posts, and stop trying to assume and lump me with some random posters on this board. The best way to talk to me is to actually just ask questions, and we can politely debate/chat. Assumptions about me won't do any good.

I have assumptions I would like to declare about you, but I am kindly refraining, please do me that courtesy as well.

If we are talking about banning then why do we forget that significant number of those banned users are pissed off and are likely to switch over to PS3? May be thats why PS3 had good Friday sales? :p

A banned user has good incentive to buy PS3 (also 360) because he has already played most of 360 games and he can now try a new console.

I played it on PC and the gunplay was fast and good. Otherwise it was ok and among different single player FPS games I prefer STALKER over any game including bioshock.

Maybe people who are saying mediocre gunplay played it on console? Controller may not be as fast as a mouse.

[QUOTE="themyth01"] How could he overlook that, geez, didn't he know every ps3 owner also has a top of the line PC with the latest graphics hardware...machod_19

The game is running on a 5 year-old engine. It shouldn't be a hard game to run.

He thought he had a comeback, but he got pwned

How are the L4D2 graphics on 5 yr old PC? If graphics are bad then since when cows started playing bad graphics games :p ?

Guys nothing new here.

If FM3 would have recvd either 8.5 or 10.0, fanboys will still be crying that GT5 will destroy FM3. I dont know what do they want. They should just go and play the great game FM3.

[QUOTE="DeadMagazines"] Use some common sense please. If the PC gets 15-20+ games over consoles per year because of reasons listed above, do you not think its reasonable to expect there to be more of a chance that some of them score high? Again..common sense..DeadMagazines

But, even you will agree that getting 15-20+ games(if they are good) is a good thing.

yes ..but it is to be expected for the pc. which goes back to my first point of why anyone is surprised its leading over the consoles for reasons previously mentioned.

If your point is only about why people are surprised then who is getting surprised? Rather, given the title of this thread in SW, some people are just pointing out a good point of PC that is max number of AAAEs.

And what does quantity have anything to do with quality?
