@grandiarules I know right? Gone Home (while I really enjoyed it) can be considered a "girl power" game. GTA misogynistic? Jesus, has he ever played one before? It's fucking GTA genius, get over it. You know what it is going in.
@furrynic You don't improve something that is already perfect. The difficulty is "wrong?" I don't know what that means but I'll interpret is as "too hard for you." It's identical to the original and not made for the kids of today although there's no reason they can't enjoy it, too.
@nigelholden I actually have a large problem with this. Talking about a game/review during downtime is one thing, but there's a huge amount of mindless sheep out there who flock to this site, look at a review, and let the score make up their mind for them. So when an irresponsible prick labels a game, so loveable and true to the amazing original, with a really bad score it will cause said sheep to ignore an otherwise beautiful game and the devs, at least with this game, absolutely do not deserve that. They deserve to be commended.
@theoasis77 Although I 100% agree with Tom McShea being a souless piece shit, you couldn't be more wrong about the original game. "It wasn't a game people bought back then?" I don't know where you lived but every single person i knew with an NES, including myself, owned this game. I used to play through the whole thing in one sitting when I was 8 more times then I can remember. I'm not saying it wasn't difficult in some areas, but you make it sound like Battletoads. Really hard? Yeah, I don't think so. The hype it has now is because it is regarded as one of the best NES games of all time. Not everyone has to like it, I have no problem with that. But the rest of the shit you say is just ridiculous. Oh, and worse controls? Hate to break it to you but the controls are IDENTICAL to the NES version, and I certainly would know.
@lorider25 It's not shallow at all. On the contrary it's a beautiful remake that keeps the same sound effects, music, controls, etc. This is exactly what a remake should be. It's sad when people check this website for review scores and then completely write off potentially excellent games.
@Jestersmiles Right, because professional critic scores are the only reason to ever play a game. Look at the user score and user reviews, I say Tom missed the mark bitch. Have you actually played the game? Or are you just jumping on the bandwagon? I have played it, and it's pretty damn fun.
