The Final Fantasy XIV Devs Gave Their All For Shadowbringers
The Legend Of Zelda: Link’s Awakening Switch Review - Living The Dream
@megasean3000: "Considering it’s something we’re buying anyway"
Big assumption there.
@michellebennet: The lighting effect is still there, it's just now reacting with a different material. The way these things work, is you assign a material to an object, and the lighting engine is programmed to react accordingly. You don't want the suit to look like plastic when it's a cloth, just like when you switch to the armored suit you don't want a diffused glow across, you want a gloss. It's the proper way to do things. If you want a shiny suit, they're in the game and will react the way you are wanting. But, to force that onto the cloth suit doesn't make any sense.
@michellebennet: They literally stated and showed how it looked better than the old demo.
@spiddyman007: Aaaaand....sold. :)
@rasterror: Like what exactly? I watched the video, I did my own comparison, and I'm not seeing anything "cut". There are some changes, but I'm yet to find anything that is an actual downgrade.
The game is even running at a higher resolution than the original demo.
@rasterror: Well, yes actually. Or more accurately, compressed pre-release footage. Video evidence below.
@rasterror: Because there isn't one?
@spiddyman007: I'll throw 60 bucks at an 8/10 Spider-man game in a heartbeat.
@gustavob: Time zones are hard?
@olddadgamer: I dunno. I don't think there is much to gleam from it. Seemed pretty shallow. The truth will come out in dew time either way.
