@kozzy1234 @digi_matrix Oh yeah, backed Wasteland 2 but waiting to play it when it's finally released rather than early access :P Pillars of Eternity should be great, too. I'm not sure about Dragon Age, even though it looks pretty but they haven't shown much about the nitty gritty.
@Arthur_fr @WolfgarTheQuiet Weed might increase some paranoia, but alcohol is heavily linked to amnesia i.e. Korsakoff's syndrome. Explains why you can't remember the previous night ;) It can get worse than that, though.
Alcohol has always been known to be the more dangerous drug, mentally and physically.
@greenboy88 Uh, this kind of argument can be made for any kind of game that you don't like. I personally don't like military shooters, doesn't mean I will campaign to have any of them removed from a service just because more of them will come out.
Depression Quest is a Twine game, which is is an offshoot of text adventure games that were some of the first to introduce storytelling in games (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jEQLcSvjLbA).
Even if this was a completely unique type of game, just because more of them will come out and not be as good is not good reasoning for being a fascist about game releases. It's why so many kinds of games are not made on consoles, because big publishers don't want to fund interesting experiments, so it's left to indie developers to make the games on the PC and hopefully the console makers see those games' success and want to port it.
We should encourage all kinds of games that defy and break the tradition. It's tedious to be inclusive about games as a definition, and I agree with Proteus' developer that it's not a constructive way of going about this issue of "notgames": http://www.visitproteus.com/what-are-game/
