I would not even pay a penny for Google Stadia. If somebody gave me the Google Stadia Founder's Pack for free, I would smash it with a hammer and then throw it in the garbage where it belongs. This "console" needs to flop for the good of the industry.

Dont be like that. Use that free 3 month to stream the games then after that keep the controller as backup controller or as ur main android phone controller. Repackage that chromecast ultra as gift or something. I hear its very decent controller. But guess reasoning with nintendo fans is useless cause they will buy every pokemon game each year like how casuals buy sports or cod each year.

I have zero interest in streaming games even if it was free. I hate streaming and I want any streaming service to flop because I don't want video games to go in that direction.

I don't know why you are even bringing up Pokemon and bashing Nintendo fans, but for the record, I have never bought a Pokemon game in my life and never will. Just because I'm a Nintendo fan doesn't mean that I like everything that they do and Pokemon is definitely something that does not appeal to me in the slightest.

Any Nintendo console is always a must own for me since I love their exclusives.

Xbox has been my favorite platform to play multiplats on since they have had the best controller and the best online service every single generation since they first entered the market. As long as Microsoft doesn't do something incredibly stupid like not include physical media on their console, I'm pretty certain that I will buy Xbox Scarlett.

I was incredibly disappointed with the PS4 so I'm not going to buy the PS5 unless they prove that they can have some great exclusives that interest me. And more movie-games and JRPGs are not going to get the job done. Sony needs to start offering the kind of variety that they offered on the PS1 and PS2 again if they want my money next generation.

The only games that I use my PC for are VR games so I'll upgrade my PC when there are VR games that I want to play which require that I upgrade it.

I would not even pay a penny for Google Stadia. If somebody gave me the Google Stadia Founder's Pack for free, I would smash it with a hammer and then throw it in the garbage where it belongs. This "console" needs to flop for the good of the industry.

You didn't include it in this poll, but another upcoming console that I will most likely buy is the Intellivision Amico since a new exclusive Earthworm Jim game and BurgerTime game are must-own games for me. Plus, I really like Tommy Tallarico and I want to support his company's effort to bring the types of retro experiences that are missing from modern gaming back.

All there games where god awful back in the day, kingdom hearts saved it mostly.

You think that DuckTales (NES) and Aladdin (Genesis) were awful? Those are some of the best games ever.

Most of the ones that I care about like Aladdin, The Lion King, and Toy Story have already had pretty good video games back in the 90s. The only one that I care about that hasn't had a video game yet is the best and most underrated Disney movie of all time: A Goofy Movie!

I'd probably buy the game no matter what simply because A Goofy Movie is amazing and I will support anything related to it.

When I think of European developers, I immediately think of RARE and the great games that they created in the 90s such as Donkey Kong Country and Goldeneye 007.

I support what Trump is doing on this particular matter. It's about time that somebody stands up to China.

And I don't expect console prices to rise from this because I ultimately expect that Trump will win this trade war since China has too much to lose if they don't agree to play fairly. And if not then many companies will move out of China which would ultimately be good for the rest of the world in the long term.

People need to stop being so short-sighted and look at how what Trump is doing on this matter will be a good thing in the long term. Either getting China to play fairly or having companies move out of China would both be good in the long term.

@storm_of_swords: if you don't know why people are embracing streaming, it's pretty obvious that you're out of touch with reality.

People prefer convenience over quality. If the product is good enough and has good enough and is convenient it will have an audience.

From Desktops to Laptops

From laptops to Smartphones

From Physical/Digital Purchases of Movies and Music to Subscriptions/Streaming

and Physical/Digital Purchases of Games to Subscriptions/Streaming

What they all have in common is they are all the result of the convenience of the user.

I never said that I don't understand why people are embracing streaming. Re-read my post. I know that it is because they are willing to sacrifice quality for convenience. The thing that I can't understand is how they can be content with less quality and less choice just for a little bit more convenience. I personally don't see discs as being that much more inconvenient than streaming (in some ways discs are even more convenient), so I have a hard time relating to the mindset that would be willing to sacrifice a lot of quality and choice for a small gain in convenience.

I don't understand how they can be satisfied watching shitty compressed videos with shitty compressed sound. And the thing that I most don't understand is how they are content with being limited to whatever content the streaming service is making available to them at that time instead of having the content that they really care about.

I often hear people that are all in on streaming say things like "I spent an hour last night looking for something good to watch on Netflix. I wish [insert movie here] would come to Netflix.". And I can't help but wonder why don't you just buy or rent the movie that you want instead of hoping that your Netflix overlord will someday give you access to a poor quality version of it while you waste time trying to find something that you want to watch from their limited catalog?

I have a list of my top 100 favorite movies and I once searched Netflix to see how many of my top 100 favorite movies was on Netflix. The result was that Netflix had 19 out of 100 which means that if I relied on Netflix, I would not be able to watch 81% of my favorite movies. And I'm not talking about a bunch of obscure movies here; I'm talking about many big blockbusters like Terminator 2, Jurassic Park, The Lion King, Titanic, and Back to the Future that I wouldn't be able to watch. I'm sure that most people would have most of their favorites missing from their streaming service as well and I just don't understand how they can be content with that.

I hope that streaming video games does fail, but that's far from a guarantee.

Just look at the success of streaming video services and the decline of Bluray sales. I don't understand it, but for some reason many people are willing to watch movies on these streaming services with inferior video quality and inferior sound quality while also giving up all of the special features of Bluray and even giving up their favorite movies if the streaming service doesn't currently provide it in their limited lineup.

If streaming video services can be very successful despite all of the ways that they are inferior to Bluray then unfortunately there is a chance that streaming video game services can be successful as well.

All hope is not lost though as there will also still be many people that will refuse to settle for crappy streaming services and continue to demand physical media just like there are people that continue to demand Bluray releases. Hell, even vinyl records have made a comeback and physical book sales are going back up in recent years while digital sales have gone down showing that eventually the quality of physical media wins back some people.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "bring back" since I can still play all of my old consoles.

If you mean that publishers would still be making new games for the console then my choice would be the Sega Genesis because it would be nice to have a console on the market that is completely dedicated to 2D games and it would bring Sega back to the console market.

I only want to buy one new kart racing game so I have to decide between this and Team Sonic Racing. Does anybody that has played both have any opinions on which of these two kart racing games is better?
