I agree with you on your opinion of Spiderman, but I generally hate all open world games this gen (TW3, MGSV, GTAV) other than Horizon Zero Dawn that everyone else loves not I'm sure my opinion on Spiderman holds much weight with the masses.

TLOU multiplayer is far more diverse, strategic and satisfying than Gears 4 MP.

The weapon verity, tactics and teamwork required to be successful in TLOU puts it leagues above this...

Gears 4 gampley = jump roll, duck, shoot...repeat. It's gameplay for simpletons, so I can see why you would enjoy it more. Just because it's gaming for toddlers doesn't make it better.

And yet TLOU2 multiplayer will easily be better than any online shooter produced by MS this entire generation. Hell even TLOU Remastered online is better than any multiplayer game produced by MS this gen so what's the problem?
