6.5 was fair when the game came out. As of now, 5.5 sounds more accurate. Played almost 1k hours and can say the game has potential, but lacks in so many areas other mmo's succeed. There are some huge glitches that are constantly being exploited that make pvp pointless in one sense. The gear disparity is ridiculous in the higher levels. A few classes need their skills rebalanced which really isn't huge. The pvp architecture needs work. Events... Are a joke. People getting hacked and banned constantly. New pay magazine for in game items. I could go all day.

I still have a soft spot for gw, but I just don't see it matching up with kotor, much less bioware. The gw expansions got progressively worse, so hopefully they learn from their mistakes and make a quality product again.

I think it's really too much like frisky dingo to enjoy it. Xander Crews was such a great character that the Archer dude can never match up. Like you guys, I would have rather watched a full hour of Sunny.

Just saw the pilot episode and can't help but thinking it ripped off Frisky Dingo hardcore. Still pretty funny, and had Coach McGurk for the main character.

Echo and the Bunnymen, Madness, The The... those are what spring to mind for me.

-Misanthropic-
LOL, I was about to write Echo and the Bunnymen All of those 80's new wave bands have a cult following, but not much more. Depeche Mode is the greatest

Well the W7 beta is overrated, IMO. My DRM movies scramble if I fastforward, it hangs at the "shutting down" screen 75% of the time so you have to manually power down, WMP doesn't fully close when you X out of it and doesn't go away even if you kill it at Task Manager. iTunes freezes if you try to download artwork or change track information, 3rd party TWAIN drivers don't work, etc, etc, etc.

And worst of all....the OS crashes every time I get into a fight in the greatest RPG of all....Morrowind. :(

The upside is that there is greater compatibility with drivers.

Is your computer actually capable of running it? Just that i haven't encountered any of those problems at all. Plus, it is a beta remember.

Core2Duo 3ghz 8GB Ram Geforce 9800GTX+ 1 TB HDD (x2) Blu-Ray Burner So I think it is *slightly* above the minimum requirements.

I haven't had any of those problems except for WMP not fully closing. I have it running on a 4 year old gaming laptop. Itunes and zune software run amazing as well. Haven't tried Morrowind but oblivion was running great. Vista has been pissing me off lately on my gaming rig (almost same rig as yours cept for 3.2ghz quad), so I might load up the 64bit W7 version to see how it works.

GSC definately doesn't reward our patients with the horrible ending. To say this game isn't for everyone would be an understatement. My only advice is to save often and practice your aiming. Once you get a good ways through the game you will get some better weapons that will be much more accurate. The viper-5 is a good beginners weapon that upgrades well and ammo is aplenty.

I'm running 7 on my laptop and it works as well as vista on my gaming rig. Not as much gaming but no crashes over the past few weeks of use. Vista 64 will bsod occasionally but it might be related to overclocking.
