@dreamfist11. It's one of many articles displayed on the site. You could choose not to read it or comment on it, but you are. In doing so, you are bringing more attention on your self, as much as this article is bringing to the author.
@dreamfist11. Writing an article in this way isn't shoving it our faces. It's trying to personalize something that has already been around for a long time. Which is more in your face? The brightly colored character who brutalizes other animated opponents, or a simple article from someone who can related more personally to a character that has been around for years?
I realize that most of the gamers that post on this site only want to discuss the surface gameplay, T&A, and vague stories, but I think it's important to go a little deeper sometimes. Just imagine how it would be if video game technology was developed in the '60s. We'd be discussion the inclusion of minority characters and women much more. It's still rare to find women and people of color in major roles in video games. I think developers are realizing now that the audience for their games is more diverse these days.
