@PSP107:
Yeah it's pretty damn sad when they constantly complain about lack of quality female roles, especially in franchise as big as DCEU and MCU. They finally get a mega hit with Wonder Woman, which just broke 700 million, and the feminist still cry because if she had been fat, black and unattractive the film wouldn't have done as well.

I think it was just poor decision making because obviously it's something they ignored so we should too.

Ok must have forgot than but it still doesn't make any sense if she can take all that damage and not get hurt.

I don't think they showed her getting hurt by bullets though, Just the Amazons. She's a daughter of Zeus so it would make sense that she has some invulnerability. If she can take a Doomsday hit, She can take a bullet. And I kind of agree about the plot, It didn't make much sense.

@N30F3N1X:

Kind of ironic because they praise Gadot and how Wonder Woman was shown as a strong and intelligent woman and not suffering from any typical type-cast or shown as weak/feeble compared to her male counter parts. Then they go on to say that if she had been black or fat that there'd be a revolt. The feminist finally get a strong super heroine film directed by an incredibly talented female director and they still complain. When is it gonna end?

It seems like after BvS, Warner Bros got nervous and changed the entire tone of the film. Leto was only in the movie for 7 total minutes after spending months preparing and shooting countless scenes. He's furious about it and so are fans. The entire marketing campaign was around the Joker and to barely be in it, It totally ripped off fans who expected him to be more prominent in it. I am not as shocked about Beach though. It was obvious from the jump that he was the odd man out and was gonna be the one they immediately kill off. There was no need to really waste run time on him, Which is why he was in it less than Leto was.

Honestly, Warner Bros should just take a step back. Stop meddling and let the movies take their course. I liked BvS far more than I did Suicide Squad. Mainly because it was obvious how terribly the re-shoots messed with the whole movie.

@jaydan:
I totally and utterly agree that they should be sued for false advertising. The end product was nothing like the trailers. A majority of clips featured in the numerous trailers (mainly the Joker's) weren't even featured. They made him out to be a huge part of the film and he was barely in it. It felt like a totally different movie when watching it. Nothing was as expected and that sucked hard. I can see why everyone hates it.

I think Suicide Squad really did falter when they lost their original goal and had to deal with the studio coming in and butting heads. It's pretty clear through out the film which parts are from re-shoots because they don't fit the flow of the rest of the movie. I did like BvS a heck of a lot more than this, I'm probably one of few who legit likes it lol.

That being said, The DCEU as a whole just doesn't have critics in their back pocket. Every marvel film, even the junk ones, get great ratings. Civil War sucked hard and yet it got absolutely praised. I disliked it as much as I did Suicide Squad because it was just rehashing the same exact stuff all over again. The only difference is the addition of black panther and spider man.

I think the reason these movies struggle so much is because DC is trying to catch up quick to Marvel. You had 5 solo movies before you got an Avengers film. While in 3 movies we are already getting a JL movie. DC had to introduce so much in BvS and in SS that I think it really brings the quality of it down. I do have a lot of hope for Wonder Woman though and for the future Batman solo flick. Same goes for Aquaman because James Wan is behind it.

Yup, They just introduced too much and because of that, It watered down the entire movie. We just accept and move on. Suicide Squad looks very promising, I can't wait to see Leto's Joker. His seems to be the truest portrayal of the Joker we've seen yet and I know he's talented enough to compete with Ledger.

Even the director's cut didn't save the movie, It just helped explain sub plots a bit more. I think we can all agree that outside some epic one liners and Affleck's performance, This movie sort of sucked. I still liked it better than Civil War, Now that was some predictable garbage.
