eh video card's about the only thing that's not old as hell. :D i suggest at least better processor for this game, even after the update the game is demanding. it can immediately use up like 3-3.5gb of ram too.

i5-2500k 3.?ghz, Radeon 2GB DDR5 R9 270x, 4gb ram.
from launch up until yesterday it was unplayable because of stuttering. didn't have high expectations of them fixing it but they did in 1.3 patch. i still have to reboot about every hour and a half though or the stutter starts. could that be a memory leak or something, since i have low ram? in any case, fixed it for the most part, i'll take what I can get.
about the same overall, not fun, classic AC. though I thank them for not making me fight near all my obstructing pirate buddies again. it can be challenging for people who aren't quick fingered i guess, enemies press the attack more and to counterattack them the button needs to be pressed during a small window of the enemy animation, instead of any time during it. the game gives you a nice balance of having to parry an enemy or dodge a heavy weapon enemy at any second, you can be flashbanged by enemies, you must dodge to avoid distant enemies shooting you. one thing i'm not sure of, it seems you can skip enemy death animations so you can start walloping someone else immediately. they kind of go into a stagger motion where you can finish them or maybe they'll drop dead after you decide not to. haven't tried it, just assuming since they drop their sword.
@JamesHarperA: lol sounds awesome. That reminds me of a level in Alan Wake, but better. i'll certainly keep playing despite performance problems, luckily they've been minimal.
yea i'm by no means a graphics nazi either. i'm in the 25-30 fps range most of the time and games like Crysis 3, Watch Dogs for example i'm at least 40ish FPS. if this is as good as it gets i'll still play it just want to warn people. if you're on a mid-range PC or lower i suggest 'testing' it before buying lol
my specs are i5-2500k 3.3(?)ghz, 6gb ram, Radeon R9 270x 2gb DDR5. maybe there's an AMD card/driver issue?
i'm pretty sure he's calling you a fanboy because you're saying 1 game is going to 'trash' another that a) isn't even out yet and b) has no meaningful preview material whatsoever to come to that conclusion. that's suspect as fanboyism by any sensible standard. he might come off as an a-hole, but not an idiot, and his post count is irrelevant.
any other PC players think so? any framerate issues on the console versions? hope there's a problem and a patch is incoming.
Sometimes you can just tell. Not to mention silent hills pedigree that can be looked back on. I think both will be good but like I said Silent hill done by the correct maker will always be best in my opinion just by looking in the past.
looking in the past to predict the future isn't reliable particularly if a product is not made by the same people. I mean you've not even played 1 of the 2 yet right? Consider there are also Silent Hill fans who don't have such unwavering praise for every single installment so far.
