This film will have a steep drop off next week. I'll be surprised it it even takes in 10 million. It won't make back its production costs. It will be a failure.
@oflow: agreed. In the old days, They had a site director and executive editor position. I don't even think those roles exist anymore at the site. I don't know who reports to who, or who exactly does what here anymore. CBS seems to want everyone doing a bit of everything, which results in the mess the site is now.
Nobody here knew (nor cared) who this guy is. He was some production assistant who was never on camera, nor mentioned. I never heard of him until this video. So he won't be missed by the community.
I think age (and salary) plays a big part of who stays and who goes at Gamespot. Viewers tend to identify with younger people. People in their age demographic. That's why all these new guys are in their early to late 20's and the old timers have long since moved on or were laid off. Why do you think we don't see GameSpot employees on camera that are in their late 30's or early 40's? They want fresh faces. And it's cheaper to hire new people every so many years than keep giving raises to the senior crew. They got too expensive and less useful.
