boboboj, thanks for putting up all those DS games. I'm currently looking for a couple new ones and having all of them in one spot made it easier to decide.

You're welcome, Alex :) I had fun making this and I learned a few new Photoshop techniques in the process, which is one of the main reasons I love doing these free projects. I like learning new things. If anyone is curious I based your banner on a billboard design I did for a Photoshop contest (at photoshopcafe.com). My entry didn't make the finals, but because I used fonts (which I bought from their site) LetterheadFonts.com put it on display in their gallery. This was a plesant surprise.

You linked directly to the image on my server and I deleted it from there - that's why it disappeared. You have to save the image to your own computer and then host it somewhere yourself. Anyway, your banner is probably more appropriate for this union; it's fun and whimsical, which is more akin to the definition of creativity.

There is no lid anymore on the amount of uncensored filth that emenates from our TVs, games, movies, or computers. Heck, you can't watch five minutes of TV without seeing some personal product blatantly advertised (ED, tampons, etc.). In today's Sex and the City society anything goes and it's nice to know that (for whatever reason) at least someone somewhere is taking steps to stem the flow of filth that is creeping into every nuance of our daily life. If you want adult content go buy a Playboy.

Hi gang. I stumbled upon a thread here where Alex mentioned making a banner so I thought I would take a stab at it. I love a challenge and this seemed like a good one. Here is the banner I have designed. I also did this one with a different border and a black and white pic inside the oval. I went with an antique look to the whole thing and the picture in the oval frame is of Oxford University. It seemed fitting for this union since that is where J. R. R. Tolkien attended. Let me know what you all think. Thanks.

Did he? Why was the tomb empty, and why did Thomas "touch" him. There are even reports of him eating, walking, and appearing to over 500 people. What really happened?

All of those questions are already answered by God in His Word. But if you want a deeper understanding of those questions I would recommend reading the Bible and praying and asking God to reveal the deeper meaning about them.

That would make a lot more sense than what they currently have implemented. I mean, seriously, rating comments? Whose bright idea was that? I could see rating blog posts, but the comments....

Here's a fine example of people abusing the lovely new "comment ratings". Check out the comments for the GS article Sony faces digital security patent suit. Notice that the majority of comments where someone really dishes it to Sony have become hidden. Yep. Great feature. Let's just throw free speech out the widow, eh?

That's a great idea, but you might as well get used to the text editor. It seems the GS geeks love their own handywork too much to change anything (think "Turkey" emblem).

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I am 47 myself and I've always found these "user reviews" lacking. Mainly because for the most part it's kids making these simply for making them, impressing their friends, or whatever kid-reason they do it. You can tell this simply by the size of the review (one paragraph, lol) or the grammar. As I've said in the past these kind of reviews do nothing for GS and implementing what the OP asked would make a heck of a lot more sense than sticking ratings on blog comments.
