All the games you've listed pale in comparison in terms of meaningful consequences.
I would of advised stuff like Fallout 1/2, Arcanum, Planescape (as far as choices and consequences go)... But it looks as though he/she's an action rpg fan.
Alpha Protocol was a good suggestion by Garrett, in terms of having c&c AND action gameplay.
I have to make an embarassing admission...I have a very hard time playing old games....for some reason I always just imagine there are newer, better ones out there when the reality most of us know is that the old games are usually the more fulfilling ones *Age of Empires 2*
So I need a new game, hopefully something that will pull me in, eat all my free time, and spit me out a few pounds heavier and a sudden feeling of carpal tunnel. Right now I am trying to get into Mass Effect 2, first time I've played the series, and so far I have been kind of bored by the somewhat repetitive combat and the limited amount of customization for character and abilities. For my next game, I am thinking ME 3 or Borderlands 2. Or maybe something slightly different? Here is a brief breakdown of my gaming preferences: - Play mostly single player - I like customization of character/team/civilization -Games where the decisions I make matter - Games that aren't repetitive -Recent games I loved: Witcher 2 Starcraft 2 Skyrim Fallout 3 Mount and Blade -Recent games I got bored of: Endless Space Mass Effect 2 Company of Heroes Thanks for the advice!
