Stardock has the best system. They'll sell you a game, allow you to install the unpatched version and play it, but the ONLY way to get updates is to get Impulse and have the game activated. In the case of Sins of a Solar Empire and especially Galactic Civilizations II, the updates made CRITICAL changes. version 2.02 of Galciv2: Twilight of the Arnor is barely recognisable from the original 1.00 release of galciv2, and up-to-date pirated versions of that game do not exist.
@fallendeath: yeah, and you'll have an 18 month old dx9 card, so you'll have to change cards within a year because of compatibility. for the same price range, get a 8800gt, it'll pwn your x1950xtx
voodoo_goodoo . why is killzone2 so hyped there has never been a good killzone y start now Because KillZone on the PS2 was hyped as the "halo killer" While it obviously failed at doing this, they are stil hyping up the franchise to be the "halo 3 killer"... normal. Also, for those who did not own a powerful PC or an Xbox at the time, KillZone was basically the best shooter you could get.
-HCMF- but still just one analog stick? Why bother with the re-design if your not going to fix the biggest flaw... dude...this is sony we're talking about. they don't fix their flaws, they don't even notice them :)
yugular So that single in Vista Windows I hate this, and because after two years, they at least do not respect to the videos players, who make a version for WXP, or that is reconciled Hmm, its an obvious marketing move by Microsoft. To help boost sales of the new operating system, make the port of tyour best console game work only on the new OS. This forces alot of gamers to get it, but in any case, within 18 months, XP will become a useless POS
i got game, i can play with medium/high settings, i got a sempron 3400+ with a radeon x1600 pro agp vid card and 1.5 gigs of ram... game isnt very demanding, but i must admit my medium high settings average 20 fps (i cant tolerate low settings, i prefer to have a bit less fps and have better image quality... 20 fps is still quite playable)
Heh, I dont have a gaming rig, but i'm able to play with settings in the medium - high range. i have a: AMD sempron 3200+ RADEON X1600 PRO AGP 8X 1.5 gigs of ram ddr 333 screen resolution: 1280 x 1024 it runs very well and i havent seen any slowdowns. Granted I don't run at 100 fps, but anyway, my eyes dont see beyong 24 fps XD. But yeah, havent seen choppiness at all. I was thinking of putting my settings up a bit too XD
