all people who say piracy is ok and that game industry should find a way to deal with it: on the one hand you are marxist for going with the free info thing? on the other you deny other people their income? this is exactly why any form of organized society is bound to fall because no matter what the system is people will work against it citing contradicting sources until it burns down. only system that works when everyone is out for himself is anarchy, and when there aint an organized society dont think games will exist. so when capitalist democracy falls and the next robspier is out there offing heads i hope ill be already RIP.
look video game combine many forms of art. theres cgi which is basically a movie, mo cap which is an art in itself. interactive story telling. game design,even playing has an art to it. as you create yor own playing style and technique.
saying that videogames can't be art is a not a statement bout video games nature, its about their prestiege. there's a reason why audiences don't trust movie critics and we trust video game critics. one of them simply isnt preocupied with preconceptions.

I like it when nightfire calls the console a console for non gamers because the controls are intuitive. i think that truely aiming in fps games with the wii-mote is going to be hell of alot harder then aiming with a pc mouse. now i know that aiming with the 360 controler is harder then aiming with the pc mouse. so by nightfire's system the pc is for non gamers. Then HOW COME the pro gamers are usually pc gamers and usually in fps games (where the controls are more intuitive for fps than consoles). and how come the WCG and ESWC are for pc games? and if rts games are nearly impossible to play on the consoles then all of the starcraft players are pc noobs?
