I'll be surprised when AMD cards DON'T have some kind of problem with new releases.

Me! Personally I couldn't care less about the whole graphics controversy. I'm playing this game for the story, which is finally introducing the two main characters (other than Geralt) from the books.

Appreciate the feedback, guys. I actually went ahead and bought it. I played for two hours and I'm already pulling my hair out. My only "problem" with the game is that I have no clue what to do or where to go, which is not a real problem but I did find myself reading walkthroughs just to know what to do next. Damn I feel like I've been missing out on a great series. Kinda wish I played the first two now.

My only experience with these games is the tutorial part of the first Dark Souls, or up to the first boss fight, after which you get picked up by the giant raven or whatever. I stopped playing because I had problems with my PC at the time and I never really bothered to continue playing later after I got the problem fixed.

So for those who have bought it, is it worth it? I like challenging games and I also like good atmosphere, both of which seem to be present in DS2. But I also heard the game has gameplay issues associated with the frame rate at which it runs, such as faster enemy movement and weapon degradation. Are these issues a deal breaker?

I just want to keep myself occupied until the Witcher 3 is released. I was planning on finishing the Dragon Age series but I couldn't force myself to keep playing because DA2 is a piece of crap compared to the first one.

Fun game. Too bad it still runs like garbage even after months of being released. I had to spend a few hours just trying to get it to work without crashing or game breaking graphical bugs.

Seems like for Ubisoft games, all you can do is buy their games months (years ?) after release to get the better working version. As they just can't seem to bother optimizing for PC.

I think they just gave up on the game. More than three months after release and the game is unplayable with SLI setups as it is.

@SimplyFatal: Last time I checked $200 wasn't all that much for a 1440p IPS monitor. Worst case scenario I'll just buy another one lol.

Just an update. I bought a refurbished Shimian monitor off of ebay for $200 (including shipping etc). I got today and holy cow have I been missing out.

When I made the payment I wrote a note to the seller nicely asking that they make sure my monitor doesn't have any dead pixels. I guess they listened because this thing is practically new with absolutely no dead pixels or light bleeds. I guess I got lucky lol.

I'd like to get a 1440p monitor without breaking the bank. I'm looking at these refurbished Korean monitors on ebay

Does any of you guys have experience with refurbished monitors, and Korean ones at that?

I'm kind of broke at the moment but winter break is coming up and I really want get some of that sweet 1440p action without having to prostitute myself.
