Guild Wars is quite a bit of fun, and it has no monthly subscription fee. If you get Guild Wars I'd go with Prophecies (the original guild wars) or Nightfall. I thought Prophecies was the best.
The problem probably has to do with the ol' ps2 parts in it. I don't exactly understand how your extended warranty from EB works, but I'd take it to them anyway. If you spent $60 or $70 for an extended warranty you might as well use it.
This has happened to several people with Resistance, but this is the first corrupt save I've seen for motorstorm. My advice is to back up saves with another user or flash media.
Sony has been doing this from the beginning. They have stood firm in saying that their release was a success. They also achieved the majority if their initial goals both with shipping and sales. In addition to these they have also recently announced Playstation Home, which has sparked a large amount of interest across the entirety of the gaming community worldwide. I would consider that *very* good news.
Sony's been doing nothing but pleasing us the past couple weeks. I think the last "complaint" on the list should've been "Keep releasing the good news as you've been doing"...oh wait, that's not a complaint about the ps3, is it :P?
Burning and/or Importing CDs, transferring via psp, transferring with a USB flash device or SD card, hooking up an external HDD, connecting any Sony brand mp3 player, with a web based file server or media center software. ^All above^ I'd recommend Red Kawa MCX or Red Kawa file server. Both can be found here. The site also has a pretty good video converter for the ps3 and wii. EDIT: If you didn't realize it from reading my post, it CAN play CDs. I'd assume you can play a VCD on it too, as it recognizes the storage media just like it does with a memory card in a psp.
All of those together + the rest of the exclusive library. The 360 has some nice looking games that I'd love to play, but it doesn't have enough non-shooters that interest me. A big name will help sell ps3s, but all the big names together will sell A LOT.
