@LtLinkx360 Yep, the very company that isn't going to require an always online connection with the PS4 and have current developers woohing over how easy it is going to be to make games. Yep ... no.
So says another old government official who hasn't played a game in their lifetime, more so this 79 year old lady has no clue what she's talking about and is instead jumping on the generalize all gamers as violent sociopaths bandwagon. We need young political figures who at least have some sort of hand in everything happening in the world (or at least played a couple games before Alzheimer sets in like this lady). I personally can't stand politicians who have great great grand children... they really aren't part of our society...
@CrimsonSheep: If you've been around long enough, you would see almost 100% of SalarianChemist comments are directed at praising the 360 and bashing the ps3, even when it comes to exclusives. He's one sided if you will, I along with many others are gamers - play and love games (as long as it's not shovelware) across all consoles, not just one! In all actuality if he want to play the graphics song (which he is), PC wins hands down no matter what (Fallout 3, etc.). I am with you Crimsonsheep though, graphics don't necessarily make the game and I agree... P.S. I'm just not too much into comparison articles that's all, it shows me the lack of the devs talent IMHO. I also not a fan of Gamespot's way in handling it, I prefer Lens of Truth site if we HAVE to do comparisons. I'll still enjoy the game and like how it looks besides it's advantages or shortcomings, no matter what console it's on..
If First/second party devs can push the consoles to their limits and know them inside and out, third party devs need to do the same or we will result to these stupid comparisons above and stupid comments from fanboys below... P.S. I'm not a graphics hoar like some people here (like SalarianChemist), If a game is fun - that is all that matters. Some people hate the wii for not being a graphical powerhouse, I like a few of it's games because their fun. Anyway, If I never even bothered looking at these comparison articles, I still would enjoy the game and love the visuals and I still do! Even though a few games look slightly better on the 360 than the PS3 (ever so slightly) , they are still fun and still look good to ME. That's fine with me along with alot of others, I'll just continue to have fun and wait until devs get better on both platforms... Be a gamer SalarianChemist like the very few of us here on this site....
@SalarianChemist: Just because a game looks slightly better (or more so) on one platform doesn't make it the prime choice or better than the other. Take Dragon Age for instance, loads of people loved it across the board, even though the PS3 version had better textures doesn't mean 360 owners loved it less. I agree with some of the comments here that even with some games looking slightly better on 360 doesn't make it less fun to play. The line between consoles in regards to graphical differences is coming so close now that we have a hard time to tell the differences. If there are major difference on either platform, it's the developers fault for not putting their FULL effort to learn the strengths and weaknesses of the console. Lets not get into a debate of why certain games look significantly or noticeably better on 360 because I'll reflect the same answer. It should be a level playing field across the board when it comes to multiplatform games. If devs like Naughty Dog, Insomniac, Gorilla Games, and the few other first/second party developers can push the graphics of the PS3, why can't 3rd party devs come to "both are identical". I know the consoles are different from each other but to say that the 360 is better is entirely not true but fanboyish. Both consoles just have to be approached differently and developed either through 2 different teams, having the ps3 as lead platform and port it to the 360, or put more effort into learning the consoles strengths and weaknesses.
What determines a consoles real strengths and weaknesses are their exclusives, games solely developed on one platform. 360 Games like Halo 3 (& ODST), Gears of War II, Fable 2, Forza 2 (&3) , and a few other exclusives show the power of the system and are FANTASTIC games (late to the party but I am loving Fable 2, wanted to finish the first on before trying the new one). PS3 Games like Uncharted (&2), Killzone 2, Ratchet Clank Future (all 3), MGS4, and a few other exclusives show the muscle of the system and are PHENOMINAL games too (lovin Uncharted 2 right now, especially the 100% save transfer from the first Uncharted, $100,000 bonus!) Both consoles have great games, especially exclusives that push the systems to their full potential - multiplatforms are very good but not console demanding in any way... Please SalarianChemist, just come out with it of being a 360 fanboy or be more positive towards the PS3 and be a gamer - lover of all consoles! Though the wii does push it sometimes with it's long dry spells... P.S. Didn't mention Gears of War 1 and Mass Effect due to them not being exclusives, if it goes to PC it breaks exclusivity in my book...
