Man, seeing the way this is going down and how bad it makes Gamespot AND CNet look, you really have to wonder what was going on in the head of whoever thought it was smart to 1) let Jeff go under such bad circumstances and 2) not actually issue some type of PR spin before the rumors got out. This not only makes me question Gamespot but the entire CNet organization...what about their product reviews? Are they to be trusted or are they being bought out by Sony & others?
If this is true then Gamespot is out of my favorites list for good...any site that puts advertisers before protecting its writers/editorial content doesn't deserve the hits. I hope that CNet has a convincing answer in the coming days...who knows, maybe their side of the story is different.
Ugh...this thread needs to be closed; I would love to have a discussion about comparing the Home concept to XBox Live but this thread shows that the topic has to first be started with a concise explanation of what Home exactly is. Otherwise, you have fanboys on both sides jumping to defend either service like some virtual West Side Story...you know guys, it is possible to actually like the concept of both services. Anyway, this thread is beyond redemption...stuff like this doesn't have to be in System Wars if it is done as an actual logical discussion though.
