I'd rate it a 7/10. I really like the settings, the surprise that you really CAN climb damn near anything, as promised. But it was the repetition that killed it for me. No variety in the missions, except for the very few plot assasinations. It just really dragged on and made some mistakes, such as having hundreds of "hidden items" and no real method of finding them easier...be it an audio cue like the pigeons on GTAIV, or marking found flags on the map like the diamonds in Far Cry 2.

It was still a really unique game. A collector should own it for sure. A casual gamer might not even be satisfied by a rental though, given the timesuck the game can be, and not in a good way.

You need to set the Game Settings to Normal, so the video is output scaled proportionately. Then you need to set the Optional Settings (by pressing the Playstation button in-game) and set it to Full Screen. Sony made a mistake which they have yet to fix. The names (Normal and Full Screen) are correct in Game Settings. But in Other Settings it should read 4:3 and 16:9. That's the purpose of Game Settings, to emulate the old PS2 aspect ratio setting. Game Settings is for upscaling, Other Settings is for PS2 aspect ratio.

Game Settings: Normal (or whatever your preference)

Other Settings: Full Screen (for 16:9)

Damn, is it really a 2GB+ installation? Seems like a lot just to load matches faster. I don't even think Warhawk takes up that much with the expansions added in.

It kills the meter's accuracy when you recharge too early. I know there's usually an issue with iPods where out of the box the meter is not accurate (was the case with my Classic). You have to "train" the meter so it knows what 0% and 100% relate to in relation to the charge it reads. What you needed to do with iPods is charge fully, then let the battery run completely dry. Recharge to 100%, and repeat the process 2-3 more times. This resets the battery level guage and results in an accurate display. Otherwise your controller is going to start flashing when the dash has two bars or you'll charge the battery overnight and wake up to see 3 bars in the dash.

I've only done this once on my iPod and it isn't perfect yet but definitely displays a more accurate level. I am now in the process of trying this out on one of my 360 recharge packs. I hope it works because I've got two packs that won't display correctly (both seem to stop at 2 bars and never go beyond 3 with a full charge. Both packs also get disturbingly hot to the touch after only an hour of charging.

I just had it happen...on the 360. I deleted my save within the save menu and created a new one, but the dumbass game doesn't store global progress in RAM, so all my Hard run success (and artifacts/idols) got deleted too. So now I have to start all over again up until the last level of Egypt to earn all that crap back and then tackle the last level.

I'm gonna chalk this up to bad game code, but it's not a critical error. You can just forget the autosave progress and play with manual saves. But I'm not 100% sure if that break the tracking of things like the IRON Raider achievements. Someone please verify.

Maybe GS should hire more knowledgeable personal to work on their complex site... Just a thought.

P.S.

Level 2... 23 is %.

Truth_Hurts_U

Or maybe don't make it so complex to begin with. Run a local web proxy capable of logging traffic and you'd be amazed at how much garbage bogs the site down. The forums are pretty ghetto as well. To the point where it's 1000x easier to just use GameFAQs' interface.
