The launcher was rewritten in 2020 and will use primarily an untrue Java Native Interface to communicate with Minecraft: Bedrock Edition. Also, shortly after the release of the first 64bit versions of the Google Play Store, this previously 32bit-only Launcher was ported to arm64 and x86_64.
AppImageP
You can download prebuilt AppImage binary's that can run on Linux x86_64 and x86. After downloading simply open terminal, chmod +x Minecraft_Bedrock_Launcher-x86_64.0.0.661.AppImage and run it. With some Filemanagers you should be able to run it with double click similar to running a *.exe file on Windows. Otherwise run it from a Terminal ./Minecraft_Bedrock_Launcher-x86_64.0.0.661.AppImage
If this is your first time installing an AppImage, you will need an Icon in your Startmenu
Install AppImageLauncher. minecraft servers Run the AppImage as before. AppImageLauncher will ask for you to integrate it. Click yes to continue.
FlatpakP
You can also install mcpelauncher on Linux via Flathub. First, install Flatpak and then run it.
If this is your first Flatpak installation, please sign out from your Computer and sign in again to access the Launcher within your startmenu. To run it, run

Prebuilt macOS binaries are available here. Always copy the app to a writeable location otherwise the updater won't work.
