Ageia Physix card i think is no longer being sold(mabey no longer made) although bfg had the exclusive and did have them (150$ from the original 275$+ I know cause i was also looking in to them about a year ago NCIX was at one time listing them also) They run off pci slot (was said that had enuff bandwidth with pci and were not looking at releasing for agp or pci-e). They had their own processer and drivers to run on games that supported it (was to be 200 or so titles they were in talks with) but i think there was really only a handful of titles that utilized it at that time(1 year ago). Heres the bad, They killed frame rates even on a phat system it killed fps dropping to an almost unplayabe level(from what i read-and i did alot of reading). I also watched alot of videos playing games using the card and they looked very very cool. I would say the difference is like the differance of an older 1650 pro ati GC to a newer G92 nvidia gc if u can see that basicaly it was a big change. Clothes would blow in the wind and ripple. Stuff would move like u think it should-far more motion pic like. The ability to blast out parts of buildings(beams and such) and have the building crumble realistacaly. Here is the good (as i understand it----this is not a new topic and is being discussed quite abit through various forums). On the Nvidia G80 and G90 GC's have physixs onboard and use it in the games u play right now somewhat. On the ATI side they (from what i understand) also are using some kind of physics on their new cards but based on a different company's software (the two companys are pushing their own physics to be used---think beta vs vhs or hd dvd vs blueray). There is lots of info with basic search words ie. Game physics or ATI physics or Nvidia Physics--U get the idea. Myself i would let the card die, i think everyone has. Ps it looked very very coooool had lights all over it that glowed. GL

I am in the same boat. I want to upgrade my amd4200+x2@2.2 to somthing better. I was thinking about the 6400x2 as they now come with heatsink and fan. Clocked at 3.2 stock vs 6000x2 @3.0. All amd x2 cpu's are pretty good at reaching 3mhz with some oc-ing. My 4200 can reach 3 on air but with stockair all cpu's have a hard time reaching above 3.2 onless u have water or a very good aftermarket cooler. This is one of the plusses(might be the only one) to amd cpu's in the 4000+ to 6000(the 6400x2 is alrighty 3.2. the price is close for the 6000 and 6400 at around 200$ish or less. The 5600 x2 is a 65nm but still has a problem going over 3.2 on stock air. Pick what u want but this is what u have to work with. If u don't want to mess with oc like me mabey the 6000 or 6400 will do u well but with that said its only specs and if u don't want to upgrade fully to intell what choice do u have at this point.

i have a 8800 gts 640mb(96sp not the 112 sp) and my idle is about 68-72. When playing crysis i am mid 80s. I have had this card at 102 (for just a few mins. No smoke and no problems after) but it scared me. 102 was reached by overclocking further than the factory overclock (bfg 550mhz and mem. at ?). i overclocked to 650 mhz and 822 mem. but forgot to manual the fan to 100%. I also was running a cpu overclock from 2.2 to 2.6(amd4200+x2) with a small hp case. Point is these cards can handle a lot of heat. All in all the oc did nothing to increase fps in crysis(14-17 fps dx10 veryhigh with 2xaa).
