I want a new Metroid announcement. Maybe Dread, or perhaps something else. I would prefer a return to 2D style games with large, expansive worlds than a new 3D game, but that's just me.
I don't think that PC gaming is dead; I do, however, think that conventional PC gaming as we use to know it has passed. Due to piracy, downloadable-content, and other advances in technology, PC developers have had to take a different look at how they make, advertise, and distribute their games. Computers have also expanded in the OS department, which makes it hard to make a universal PC game. It also you have to worry about internet connection, RAM, Hard Drive space, etc in order to invest in a game. the process on consoles is much easier because you don't have to even consider such things. I think that PC gaming has changed, not died.
Yes and no. I feel that when a developer decides to finally stop either making: A) Good games and then tacking on bad wiimote controls B) Games meant to have tacked on wii controls Then we will see some truly inspiring games. If they can't do that, then no. If they can, then yes. Until then, it's unforeseeable.
MEtroid: Prime: 9.7 Prime 2: 9.1 Prime 3: 8.5 Prime Hunters: 8.6 Fusion: 8.6 Super: 8.5 Zero Mission: 8.5 8.7 brand name as an average. Not bad, especially since it's Nintendo reviews on gamespot :P Just kidding.
Bias is what all reviews are based off of. All reviews are are professional opinions on a game. The review looks at the experience of games they have played in the past, compare it to games now, and think how this game will stand in the future. These things are all biases because they are things normal people wouldn't think of when writing a review. They don't have the experience, the professional bias. And certain people just don't like certain games. I don't like point and click adventures, so I would probably give a game like that a bad score. Someone reading my review may have seen my other work and know what I like/dislike. I would also outline why I didn't like it, even if it was seemingly "unwarranted." I just don't like them. That's my opinion. That's my review. That's my bias. All reviews are bias. If they weren't they wouldn't be reviews.
I feel like this is going to be a great game with a very active community, which is always great for a long-lasting game. While I'm not going to go throw $600 at this game before even buying it, rest assured, that I will still find a way to play this.
I think a great man said once: "It's not really the best Pepsi, but the best Pepsis!" Everyone has a favorite; but by having variety, you can appeal to a lot of people.
I personally think Super Metroid showed the power of the SNES in comparison to the Genesis, but I never owned a SNES, just a Gen. Sonic games were beautiful though.
