I think the whole problem may be the Animal Crossing DLC. The AC DLC by itself is $25 if I'm not mistaken, so if you actually care about AC the deal is actually fairly good.

But including the AC DLC pretty much makes it so the expansion has to cost more than $25, but the majority of people don't care about the DLC and would rather have the N64 and Genesis libraries for an extra $10 or whatever.

I'm wondering if their intent was to make this a common theme where the expansion pass gives you access to Nintendo game DLCs. If that's the case the price would be a lot more justifiable, but they should have made that intention known from the get go.

Kind of pissed you have to have Amazon Prime video to watch this. I own the first three rebuild movies as well as the complete series, I would gladly buy this movie in a heartbeat, but I'm not about to get Prime just to watch it.

@asultana121x: Not Robert Downey Jr though. Best Avenger on and off the screen. Chris Pratt is commendable as well.

Love seeing Gamespot push out the fluff pieces for the Democrats. First it was the Biden animal crossing thing, now this. At least they had the guts to allow comments on this one, well for now.

Wasn't it nice back when Gamefreak was actually innovative and put effort into their games.

@bluestorm83:

Yep pretty much. Honestly I never liked this game that much on GameCube but my friend always wanted to play it. We actually got to the final boss but lost and never went back and finished it. To this day he still bugs me about playing it but I no longer have a working GameCube to do so. I was planning to get this game just so we could play together and finally get through it, but he doesn't have something to play it on himself so if couch co op isn't an option there's basically no point to get this.

I disagree, BotW is by no means a bad game but it's departure from decades of conventions did it a lot more harm then good. No linearity meant that the difficulty was top heavy, game started fairly difficult but became a joke once you completed a dungeon or two. They designed the whole game to allow you to do whatever you wanted from the beginning with no consequences, while this makes exploration novel in the beginning, after not too long you realize that you are never going to find anything interesting. The dungeons were all pretty bland and simple. And no items to acquire ruined what was always one of the most fun parts of Zelda.

They could have this both ways, and I'm crossing my fingers they will in BotW 2 but we will see. They talked a lot about BotW being like the original, but it really wasn't, if it was it would have been a lot better. My suggestions, have some kind of suggested order to dungeons. Don't make the order absolute but make the later dungeons far more difficult and don't make it a guarantee you will be able to complete them without items found either in other dungeons or around the world. Speaking of that bring back traditional items. You can still have the world be mostly open, but there should be things you can only do once you have the right items. In my mind this will make discovering things while exploring far more interesting, because for one you will find mysteries you won't be able to solve immediately, and two you will know there is potential for you to be rewarded with something far more interesting than rupees or disposable weapons. And lastly rather than just a bunch of same feeling shrines, put in a few really nice mini dungeons to be stumbled upon.

Do those things and I think it could be one of the best games ever. But right now it's just a pretty good game and a mediocre Zelda game.

Oh give me a break. Your freaking camping and curry mini game is not worth cutting the national dex. And saying don't worry you'll get to use your pokemon in a future game isn't comforting either, doesn't matter if they are just going to cut different pokemon, if they had said future games may have all the pokemon then that might make this bitter pill a bit easier to swallow, but no they are just going to double down on cutting pokemon.

His excuse doesn't even make sense, give me one good reason why a future switch pokemon game would have any reason to cut any of the pokemon already in Sword and Shield when they could easily be ported over? I mean they are already just reusing models so they shouldn't even be able to use that excuse now, but giving them the benefit of the tinniest bit of doubt they should at least not be scrapping the progress they make with each new switch game.

And if there are too many pokemon now I'd rather they just stop making new ones. Keep all existing pokemon and work on refining the games, I don't need them to keep pooping out 100s of mons. I mean I get they probably want to push merchandise sales so it probably helps them to release new pokemon, but do like 30 a generation and leave it at that.

This is exactly what I was concerned about, I'm sure this game would be fun but 15-20 hours is just not enough to justify buying a $60 game. It should have been no more than $40 if you ask me and even that is a bit much. Well hopefully they'll slash the price on it, might get it then.
