@TheOnlyConan: Currently there is a total credit limit of 150k, with a 25k per day limit which is about $25 per day allowed to be spent. So yes you can buy credits but there is a limit, and because we do not know what earning credits will be like in game, we cannot be sure if we can even get that amount in a short time or not. So you could spend that money to buy credits, but earn twice as much in game in less than an hour. For reference you may want to have a read of this, since you have been asking for proof.

Since looking at this "Karpundir" person's profile and finding he/she has only been a member of this site since yesterday, I would call shenanigans on this post. Sounds like someone from the creators of Mechwarrior Online trying to plug the game to make it sound like it is better than it actually is.

Some people just do not seem to understand what DRM acually IS. And god forbid anyone who would classify Steam as DRM. That is apparantly heresy!!

So it has an offline mode. What is your point exactly? You do realize that it still needs steam installed and logged in for you to play your single player games right? (For your information, I was referring to someone who had not even tried to look for any information on the subject, which by the way is VERY easy to come by) So thankyou very much for insulting me. You are such a very nice person and have changed my life forever.....*sigh*

Are you serious? You do not think that Steam is DRM? A single player game that requires you to log into a service in order to play is DRM in any corner of the world.

What once was a game that promised to be DRM-free, is now embracing Steam. A DRM-Free version will be available to early backers of the game, but will be restricted heavily due to all DLC packs and updates only being available for the steam version. The DRM-Free version will not recieve any updates nor will be able to use player made content. (Early backers of the game have basically been given the middle finger)

I don't know about anyone else, but this makes me a very sad panda. I have been looking forward to this game for a long time, however I am so very glad I did not back the game with my own money, because had I done so I would have probably been spitting up blood now. I feel sorry for those who have actually backed this game and been screwed over by Microsoft and Hairbrained Schemes LLC.
