I did that same thing. I died in the well. Then, I went left and died. so i went back and did the escort mission, leveled up, and went and did the 'find the tome' mission and died. And, the timer is apparently up on rescuing Quina ("quest cancelled"). so, maybe the game wants you to start as a strider so you can sneak by the bandits, but i didn't - started as a fighter. It is frustrating, and no I'm not a novice gamer either. Since i got killed on the tome mission, i haven't played - haven't decided where to go or what to do yet. Since i lost some game hours (should have saved sooner), maybe I'll try to get to Witchwood in time, idk. penalizing game if you ask me.
I would like to see the following: A CLOCK! and better time manipulating ability that doesn't cost money (like sleeping). something along the lines of Xenosaga or Reckoning's time systems. ENEMY LEVEL - so I can avoid enemies that are too hard. Being used to exploring, I'm tired of getting penalized for it in this game. ENEMY STATS/WEAKNESSES DURING BATTLE - if we need to use tactics, we need to be able to see what to use. PAWN COMMANDS - sometimes i need to tell them what to use in terms of attacks/spells WARNING WHEN A QUEST IS ABOUT TO EXPIRE - i had one expire and didn't know i was supposed to do it within a certain amount of time ARMOR CUSTOMIZATION - i would love to changes the look/color of armor MORE THAN ONE CREATABLE PAWN - i second the opinion above on this one A GOOD FAST TRAVEL SYSTEM - I'm sure you can think of something. Reckoning had a great one. TRAIN YOUR DRAGON - OK without sounding like a movie, a dragon you can befriend, train, use in battle and RIDE. A new vocation for both arisen and pawn of Dragonkeep, or something like that. SUMMONS! - who didn't love summoning in FFX? and not ugly useless summons either (Reckoning). PLAYABLE RACE AUGMENTS - take a lesson from Skyrim and Reckoning. MORE ALLOWED AUGMENTS - more than six would be nice can't think of more right now. Dificulty settings would be nice - I'm still at the beginning and having problems.
OK, I have run all over Fallen Arm many times trying to collect another couple of Rainbow Slugs for the Colony 6 rebuild quest and I can't get any. I tried day/night/rain... i'm at a loss. Since i have one, obviously i got if from somewhere. Could be Mechonis Field, but that is inaccessible to me now. Anyone get one and can tell me where?
