I am from belgium, this is legit. I don't understand why you some find this so odd, if you're a call of duty player you could be missing out on content.
In what way? Doom 3 blow dead space out of water. Doom 3 atmosphere was unbelievable, dark and gritty.

Doom 3 wasn't even considered a great game when it released, goodish sure but dead space was an instant classic.
The gameplay has way more depth, the third person element with the health bar on the back made it way more immersive, managing the menu system was everything in real time. It has all sorts rpg elements, and revolutionary weapon and combat systems.
You really want to be comparing atmosphere with dead space, the game mastered it, doom 3 wasn't bad in it, but it can hardly compete.
The only legacy of doom 3 had was that it was a leap in shadow technology, and it wasn't a bad horror shooter. Doom made its name back in the nineties , for all different reasons, doom 3 doesn't have anything to do with that

I read it and before I started I was wondering what graphics card had 10 tflops 6 years ago, then I thought oh yeah right , probably games who aren't ported right to ps5.
But then this dude compares it with a 3090, yeah ok, so , the 3090 is like 2000- 3000 $ depending on when you bought it.
They only thing dying is you making such asinine threads, you don't own the game with gamepass and if they decide to take it out gamepass , you're screwed. You don't own the game with ea play pro either.
If you like a game and you buy it, then it's yours and what everyone seems to be forgetting is that there is such a thing as a second hand market as well.
If I'm playing a game online, I'm playing to win so I'll never understand the whole "I don't like sweats, I only play casual" stuff? What's the point of playing a competitive online game if you aren't trying to win, that's a large part of the fun is getting the win or being a big part of the win (if you're playing a fps or other game with teammates).
I play mostly exclusively FPS and fighting games online (they tend to be what I'm best at), right now it's VF5 and CoD:MWR for me. VF5 is fantastic, I'm enjoying relearning the game and constantly getting better at it.
never got into virtual fighter, played the first one in the arcade though. always been more of a mortal kombat player, and street fighter to a certain extent.
I'm 33, haven't noticed my reflexes getting worse yet.
I play MP stuff. Usually win or come high up on score lists in pretty much everything I bother to learn.

I was even killing it in Apex. Probably because I was mostly playing against children I guess.
Yeah I was still very good in black ops 1 at 33 as well. 43 is a major difference though, for fast paced shooter games anyway, at least in my experience.
Eh, feel the age/reflexes deal tends to be exaggerated. Older dudes are still killin it in arena shooters that make CoD look like slo mo, as well as having that extra layer of execution, in a playing field where the opponent can come from any direction. A lot of the top fighting game players are in their late 30s to early 40s and show no signs of slowing down. Recent SFV event in Japan had a top 8 with the youngest player being 35. Any of which are good enough to be world champ. All playing a genre where 1 frame accuracy is a thing, 3 frame accuracy is considered forgiving, and you're regularly reacting to 1/3 second startups.
On topic, yeah I like gamey ass games. Can occasionally sit through the "muh experience" type game, but not my jam for real. Not a requirement, but a lot of my favorite SP games have solid ranking systems that are fun to push for. On the multiplayer side, strictly stick to fighting games these days.
It does wildly surprise me that the streetfighter V best player is over 40 years old lol but that isn't the case with a fighting game like mortal kombat.
and I do think shooters are still different, your brain reaction time peaks at age 24, and reaction speed in shooters is still more important. It's a constant stress to be aware of anything happening around you. In fighting games you have an overview that is a major difference.
I still play fighting games as well btw, I don't have a problem with those type of games.
@commander: Meh. I put tons of time into MH on Xbox One S and was perfectly fine with the visuals of the game myself. I’ve pretty much moved on to Monster Hunter Rise now though.
oh the ps4 wasn't much better, but it was still better, that power difference can't be denied, and I'm a hardcore lem.
Monster hunter is simply a very demanding game, and if you haven't played it on the one x, series x or pc you're doing yourself a disservice. The one x was available when it released though but I couldn't justify the purchase just for one game, I still don't have a 4k tv either.
