I didn't think I would get this, but after playing the trial for a week, and being on sale, it was a no brainer. The multiplayer really is awesome. Firefight is so much fun, and I've never really been too into hoard modes. I kind of like games that let you open packs of cards though ha. My FF record is like 7/40 lol, that junk is way harder than I would have ever thought.
that's a lot of games, all within a month. It was nice to get a free week of EA Access, and I did pick up Horizon 2 for $25 which was nice, but I haven't seen any sales on the same scale that PS offers. Please correct me if I am wrong, I only got an X1 this past Christmas, and they did have a pretty nice sale going on at that time, and I believe they have a summer sale coming up next week, so that might be good too.
The core game is actually pretty amazing. It's the end game that lost people. A lot of stuff went down after they released the first incursion that really hurt them. There's a lot of good in the game, and I believe they addressed a lot of the issues in the 1.2 patch, but a lot have already left and lost interest.
It kind of pushes me into the digital direction. I have been holding back on buying digital games, but what if all the future Xboxes were always natively BC. I'm not a PC gamer, but I assume a newer PC can play any PC game ever made, so perhaps an Xbox, 3x down the road, can play all the games that have been released so far on the X1. I like the idea of having a digital library, but not keeping old hardware to hang onto it. or paying a subscription fee to access it.
