@livedreamplay: "Cause" does not mean "because." They are two entirely different words. You're entire post thread here is an attempt to sound intelligent and morally superior, but all you've done is make up "facts" about psychology that aren't true, write with bad grammar, and use words that don't mean what you think they mean. Just stop. You've done nothing here but convince everyone that you're smug, pretentious, sanctimonious and know very little about psychology.

@livedreamplay: Your first sentence is an unsupported assertion, and also a blatant falsehood. There is nothing in psychology to back up the idea that a guy who likes to play video games as a guy is somehow insecure about his sexuality. At the same time, there is every indication in real life that people gravitate toward the familiar, and in the case of video game immersion very often prefer verisimilitude. For example, I have never played as a female in Skyrim. You also suggested GT_APE didn't know "what side of the fence" he was on. This is incendiary, unwarranted, and the kind of comment someone makes who is using the appearance of scientific language to attack another person. Assuming you actually think he is confused about his identity, you are then attacking him for that same disposition. Your comments are insincere, inflammatory, and undisciplined, and deliberately aggressive. Adding a smiley face at the end of such a post only makes you appear smug. Frankly, you don't know what you're talking about. The vast majority of men/boys who play skyrim do so as male characters. Your uneducated mind is literally accusing most players of being identity confused. There's nothing sinister or aberrant about a man who prefers role playing as a man. If you want to be perceived as intelligent, don't talk like a teenager who uses sanctimony to put other people down.

@GT_APE: You're literally arguing that either a game has fetch quests or it is a life simulator that asks you to brush your teeth. When you think only in hyperbole, nobody will take you seriously and your comments will be irrational.

@livedreamplay: You accidentally stumbled upon the reason this looks unexciting: no story. Everything shown so far is gameplay, but no indication of a world or story that draws you in. That doesn't mean there won't be one, but as of right now they're doing a hard sell on the visuals and gameplay while ignoring story and world building. It's what developers and movie studios do when they're trying to capitalize on the younger market, i.e., consumers who have less experience and are more dazzled by visuals and cool looking skill trees. It DOES look boring. This is a legitimate reaction to advertising that ignores story and world building.
