Dang, this really disappoints me. However, with as much fun as I had with a glitchy, limited base-building mess of State of Decay 1, I will still be yelling "shut up and take my money!" I remember having a surreal creepiness of "The Walking Dead" set in as I was driving across a field with a few zombies scattered throughout. Is it too much to ask to get the quality of GTA V with improved mechancis? lol.
If they want to fix the exotics, why not make them exotic. Why is the MIDA exotic? It highlights targets or has decent recoil or rounds per minute. Who cares? Bungie, take a page out of Borderlands’ book. If a weapon is gonna be exotic, make It friggin exotic! Limit them to PvE and make them difficult to obtain! By now, anyone still playing Destiny already has all of the exotics, or can just buy them on a weekly basis. Nothing is unique or worth grinding for.
I’ve been defending Destiny 2 for awhile now with the updates and fixes and their continuous effort in trying to please the players. Scrolling through the pictures, the only thing I MIGHT want to obtain is the exotic heart emote because it’s kind of funny. However, what is there of actual value? Ornaments? Vehicles that all look and act the same? A couple of dances?
I’m sorry, but I’m running out of material to defend this game when this sort of event brings nothing of value. Since I already bought the season pass, I guess I’ll wait until the next DLC for any real material...
The graphics when the horse is running through the prairie with the mountains in the background is jaw-dropping. The realism and scale of his surroundings is just amazing. I've never owned a PS4, but want one specifically for this game. I love the graphical realism we live in these days.
Sheesh, so much negativity. I, for one, enjoy the game, really enjoy playing with my friends, and appreciate that the team is regularly addressing questions/issues/feedback. Are they going to fix everything a select group whines about 100x more than other groups? No. They are thinking about the overall direction they want for the game, and trying to implement changes that are going to appeal to the majority of players and the direction of gameplay. If you want to provide feedback and give Bungie some direction, how about providing something constructive; Not just all caps, poor spelling, run-on sentences, and a bunch of "F this, F that, F you."
What they need to do is take a page out of the Borderlands looting system. First, any gun should have a TON of different variations (damage, rate of fire, reload speed, special characteristics, etc.). 2nd, there should be another tier of weapons thats actually difficult to obtain. Finding a legendary gun in Borderlands actually meant something, AND it was probably different than the one your buddy may have found. The exotics in Destiny are too few, too easy to obtain, and not unique to any other player.
Same thing should go for their ornament system. should be 1000 different kinds, ranging in rarity for each gun/armor. We want to be different than those around us!! Not just different colors!!
Thanks for bringing us the EXACT game we expected, EA. Sticking to your repetitive need for speed formula is really paying dividends. So glad you’re listening to what the fans want. Not sure I’m laying on the sarcasm thick enough...let me know when you make a NFS game with a little thought and effort put into it. Until then, I’ll stick to the Forza series.
Let's remember that what they're asking us to pay for are optional extras not tied to gameplay. Would you prefer we go back to the Destiny 1 way of giving you 30% of the gameplay and basically forcing you to purchase the DLC to get the other 70%? I agree that it sucks to give something in the first game that everyone loved, only to negatively modify it for the 2nd game, but its not affecting your ability to experience the actual gameplay content.
if you don't want to pay for shaders, don't. If you truly enjoy a game like this, you shouldn't mind a little bit of a grind in order to find the shader you really want.
For the record, I hate micro-transactions. If you want something from a game, you should ALWAYS have to earn it. The lazy 10 year old using his allowance to purchase $.99 shaders isn't learning a damn thing about working toward a goal (yes, I realize we are talking about video games, but still).
