I think many of you need to get over yourself. Sure, it's cheap that Nintendo is releasing many of the games that will be available on the SNK collection but nobody is forcing you to buy either the VC titles or the upcoming collection. So all of your posts simply translate to whining about not getting the game you want. There are over what, 200 maybe near 300 VC/WiiWare games, you can't find something worth buying? And if so many of you grew up with some system, just pull out the original and blow the dust off (unless of course it's the NES, that system really does need the dust blown out in order to work). You'll thank me for it. You'll save money and points for new games. And going back to the Neogeo games, how do you know it isn't part of a deal with SNK to release the VC version of a game before the disc release? Or maybe they're being released fir those not interested in getting all the games but just one of them perhaps.

Six months from now, In August of this year, I'd expect for the Xbox 360 to stand around 13-14 millions consoles sold. The Will will be in the neigborhood of 10-12 million if they manage to keep a good pace and it does seem like they can since they're still selling extremely well with no sign of slowing down. I expect the PS3 to get a reasonable rise in sales in Europe in March and also sell some more here in the US with a few good, possibly great titles coming out. I'd guess maybe 6-7 million consoles for them by the end of August.

So in conclusion-

Xbox360=13-14 million

Wii=10-12 million

PS3=6-7 million

Also keep in mind that it might not always be the game itself but the hype a system gets based on one game. Halo would be the best example. For the Xbox, that game made so much hype, it helped sell the system for those who may not have even got the game. The Wii could be a good example with Wii Sports. A lot of people like or love the game but some may not. Although the hype of that game help gets a lot of publicity for the system. So there may be people who haven't any serious interest but due to always hearing about it and it's unique control style could interest people.

There is no point arguing on either side of this debate. It's all a matter of opinion as everybody has a reason as to why they buy a system. For me personally, one or two games could heavily influence me to buy a system but it's much more complicated than that. Price comes into the equation as well. The PS3 for example, I would not buy for one or two games. A $600 price would not be justified for because of one or two games.

Now with the Wii, there was no real standout game for me. I'm not a Zelda fan but I realize the importance of that series for Nintendo. My reasons for getting a Wii were due to a very reasonable price, some fun interesting games and the games to come in the very near future. So I'm not one to usually buy a system because of just one or two games but I can see why many other gamers do.
