Any 2D Sonic is worth playing. Definitely. However, the 3D attempts are not as good as they could be. I think that Secret Rings is on the right track, it's really good. However, it needs a bit of tweaking. Right now, Sonic is on the fine line of these two concepts. I just hope they improve and then the series will be redeemed.

[QUOTE="SirSpudly"]You kinda missed the boat there chief.

Circuit City had Red Steel and Rayman for $30 each. Then I Best Buy had some $30 games yesterday. I know it wasn't Excite truck, but if you wait long enough, the bargain bin will fill. On the other hand, you can pick up most games now and trade them in for over $20 when you finish them early, so maybe hang around an EB sometime and offer 5 bucks more to someone looking to trade one in. Other than that, just check ebay and amazon and whatnot.

Well first of all, thanks for stealing my little blue guy. Way to clone him. Back on topic, yeah, I saw those deals. Had Red Steel, beat Rayman in a day, so I mean I didn't miss 'em. Just didn't want to take advantage of em.

Wait for about a year or so before the games get lower. But you called your avitar a "blue guy". Do you know who he is? I'm just wondering. After all, he's been around since the days of the NES. I wish they'd make more games with him in it. If you want to see more of him and have a NES, go to a pawn shop and find "The Adventures of Lolo". You'd love it, that is if you like games that make you think. It's a puzzler and a cult classic. I miss you Lolo. :(

[QUOTE="Jaysonguy"][QUOTE="smileyryder34"]I haven't played sonic yet, so I don't know about that review. Kirby, though I have played and I LOVE that game. It's cute, it's fun, it's got good music. It looks amazing for an NES game. Compared to games from today it's not worth a 9.5, but comparing it to other NES games, it's easily worth that. smileyryder34

Well that's the point, you're paying money now, not in the past.
It should be judged on how it compares to games these days, it still hold up but it's not a 9.5

This is where I would disagree a bit. I don't think VC games should be strictly compared to today's games. You're not paying for the same gameplay experience. You're paying for that classic experience. I do think how well it's help up should be considered somewhat, but for the most part no. I buy classic games for classic gameplay experiences so I want to know how that is rated. Kirby, I think, has held up well. The graphics themselves are dated, but that' to be expected. they don't look bad. I think you have to compare classic games to the games they competed against, not against what's out today. If you did that ALL VC games would get ratings in the 4's. Many of the gameplay elements in Kirby are found in games today, ie New super Mario Bros. They're similar games, yet Mario is well regarded as well. So I think the rating is somewhat justified.

I agree. They should be rated based on the fact that they are VC games, not retail games. You wouldn't want to judge XBLA games based on retail games would you? Of course not. They should have their own rating system. XBLA and VC games both.

As long as it doesn't affect the story, I'll be happy with it. If it has a great story and fun gameplay, I'll be sure to pick it up. Violence? Oh.. that's what this forum is about.. hmmm.. well, we'll how it works out.

Definately Wario Ware. If you want to use the Wiimote in every way possible for a game, Wario Ware is it.

[QUOTE="Nintendo_Ownes7"][QUOTE="-ZeRoHouR-"]Just wondering if anybody here has used it for the Wii online and how it works or how you like it. I just bought a Wii and don't have a wireless router but since I live in dorms, I don't want anybody to mootch off of my connection, so I am trying to check different options.-ZeRoHouR-
You can by an Ethernet adapter but I don't know if they sell them yet, But Nintendo said they will sell them soon.

I think it's already out but I heard some bad things on it. I am just trying to find an easy solution.

They have third party Ethernet adapters which are pretty bad. But if you go to Nintendo and get one from them, it'll work just fine. I have one since I live in the dorms as well.

[QUOTE="smileyryder34"]I'm amazed at the number of people who say these projects like the new voting channel take away from their development of new games. I seriously doubt that people at Nintendo are saying, "Hey anyone working on Smash, stop what you're doing right now. We've got to develop this channel that lets users vote on silly things. We can get back to working on that later. This is more important." Come on. Are message board trolls that naive. Let's use a bit of common sense. They have a seperate team working on channels and such. No time is being taken away from the quote, unquote big projects. Those things are what the impatient "mature" gamers want. I want those games too, but am more than willing to wait a while. This is a new thing. Nintendo is going to try TONS of things and see which ones work and which ones don't. You've gotta have a bit of patience and know things don't always come exactly when YOU want them.

Definitely, I couldn't agree with you more. Thank you for saying what I was planning on saying.

I buy them because I am a poor college student with absolutely no money, lol. If I can find a game that I really want to play, and it's used, I'll get it because it is cheaper. I found Prey used recently on sale for 14 dollars in EBGames and snatched it up. Too bad I haven't had time to play it yet.
